KUMB Writers’ Awards 2005/06 - Aug/Sept results

KUMB is pleased to announce the return of its much coveted annual Writers’ awards. Back for their fifth season, the awards are based on the marks out of ten that are awarded each week by our match reporters. For this season we’ve added another element to the awards as we introduce the inaugural KUMB Player Of The Month award – do we spoil you or what?
The race for the first of the monthly awards, which covers August & September, was a tight one. There were a large number of superb performances as the excellent start to the season found us (at time of writing) sitting in the dizzy heights of fourth place in the Premiership. Indeed no fewer than eight players are currently averaging in excess of 7 marks per game. However following a string of fine performances in the centre of defence KUMB is pleased to announce that the Player of the Month for August/September 2005 is Anton Ferdinand.Anton currently leads the table with an average of 7.86. His back four partner Danny Gabbidon is in second place with 7.72 whilst Yossi Benayoun is sitting just behind in third on 7.56.
