KUMB Writers’ Player Of The Month October 2005

The marks have been totted up and the race for the coveted KUMB Writers’ Award is well and truly under way. After the team’s excellent start to the season things have settled down a bit.

In the race for the October player of the month title, third place went to Nigel Reo-Coker who averaged 6.33 marks from our writers over the month. In second place was Yossi Benayoun with an average of 6.83.

However the winner of our Player of the Month award for October 2005 is Paul Konchesky who averaged 6.93 over the five appearances he made during the month. Paul Follows Anton Ferdinand as our second monthly award winner. Spare a thought though for ‘keeper Roy Carroll who was averaging a mighty 7.50 marks per match before injury prematurely curtailed his month.

All of which means that there is a new leader in the race for the KUMB Writers Player Of The Year Award where Yossi Benayoun has taken over from last month’s leader Anton Ferdinand.
