Dowie shares his thoughts on the current state of West Ham and Fonte

Iain Dowie needs no introduction. The man is a legend and a 52-year-old veteran of the Hammers.

Dowie - who played for West Ham United in two spells between 1991 and 1998 - recently shared his opinion regarding the current state of affairs in the team.

We have his vision of current states, thoughts about Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet and, of course, his position regarding the signing of Jose Fonte.

The thoughts are so deep you can probably write a tip, visit the online casino no deposit bonus site that encourages sports betting and wins by simply looking at them!

Slaven will get the job done!

Dowie, as a fan of the club since early childhood, wishes all the best for his team. At the same time he believes that Slaven Bilic is an exceptional manager; a leader capable of driving a team back on track, as practice shows.

Andy Carroll is currently fit and in the zone, with the events and scenarios of previous seasons no longer an issue, whilst other experienced players such as Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte have been signed by at the club.

Dowie believes that Slaven made series of wise choices here, in this particular domain. And it’s hard to disagree if look at the Premier League table. It seems that Slaven is doing a great job at gathering players and getting the best out of them on the training ground.

Unfortunately the Dimitri Payet situation and subsequent fallout means Slaven, short of his star man, will have to up his game as a manager even further to nail this season.

What about Jose Fonte?

It seems that Dowie, who also played for Southampton, believes in West Ham's latest signing. As far as I’m concerned the veteran could vouch for "the new kid" even in court. And, frankly, I don’t see any reason not to myself.

Fonte won the Euros, he is a born leader and he is definitely one of the most influential players in West Ham's squad now. He brings both size as well as the stature into the games with graceful kicks and blood-chilling attacks.

Are we are about to see some thrilling football at the London Stadium thanks to the new blood? What can be said against this evidence? I believe Fonte can become the most valuable asset to the Hammers this season - and probably the next too.
