Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

In terms of replacements.... Andoni Iraola was my choice last season. Glasner was the one I liked most this season. Both gone elsewhere now. Looking elsewhere... what's the story with Eric Roy at Brest? He has spent the majority of his career so far as a technical director, including a spell at Watf...

Re: Your childhood

And those public information films... don't play with fireworks, don't talk to strangers, don't play on farms, don't play on train lines, don't fly kites near pylons, don't forget to put your seatbelt on, etc etc... they were horrific to watch as a primary school kid and it created a whole lot of fe...

Re: Your childhood

I honestly had a great childhood - loved every minute. Probably a reason I'm so much into nostalgia, and why I have so many vivid memories. Going through a lot of old photos at the moment, doing high quality scans so they're preserved. I've also been using those AI services to correct a few of the p...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I've genuinely stopped giving a **** if I miss watching the games. It doesn't even factor into my week planning anymore. I tried to rekindle things by watching the Bayer game but ended up reading stuff on my phone more than watching the game. I felt so dispassionate that I barely even felt any disap...

Re: Things that are gone that you miss

Not missing anything at the moment really... But in another 16 months, my youngest will be going to high school. It will be the first time in 16 years that I don't have a kid in primary school. I think I'm going to miss it a lot. I'd honestly have another kid right now if I could. I used to think th...

Would be brilliant scenes if we turn this around.

I don't think we will though. Not even a little bit.

Re: Things that are gone that you miss

Slowness. Everything has to be fast, almost instantaneous, now. Shops are not close on Sundays and on most of the bank days. With VOD, you don't have to care about when something is broadcasted. When a new LP is released, you can listen to it right away wherever you are. When you're looking for som...

Re: Your childhood

We moved to a new house when I was 3. My earliest ever memory is of me running up and down the ramp on the removal van. Probably not long after moving in, another earlier memory was falling down the stairs that hadn't been carpeted yet, and my dad making me a drink of orange in a Mr Noisy Mr Men gla...

That wasn't aimed at you alf git :)

I was just curious to see if it was censored... twat is commonly considered a nasty swear word up north, whereas in London it's not considered swearing at all.

You can tell it that it can live in my garden instead if you like - but only if it kills rats.

I'm going to be watching this one... hopefully it'll put an end to my football fatigue and reignite my passion. Not watched us since the Burnley game.

I saw Robot Dreams at the cinema yesterday with my kid. I really enjoyed it. I loved all the attention to detail in the artwork.

Re: Kids' names

My youngest son is called Harry - a good old fashioned name. I actually named him after my favourite character in a book - his first and middle names are Harry Keogh - a vampire hunter who can talk to the dead, from Brian Lumleys 'Necroscope' books. In the book, he grows up in a house next to a grav...

Re: Five Countries

Not sure - I don't know much about other countries. Not much into towns and cities unless they're incredibly picturesque and historic like the place where Denzil Washington was in Equaliser 3. Other than that - I love lakes, mountains, hills, woodlands, and valleys. I'd maybe like to go places backp...

As always - listening to my 'Everything' playlist on Spotify. Still only just over 200 songs but hopefully it'll grow much more over the next year.
