Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
It's not their job to come up with replacements. It suggests they don't enjoy the way we play now and would like to change that in the hope of enjoying the way we play, but aren't particularly knowledgeable about the managers available. That seems reasonable to me. Rest assured there are many 'Moye...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
With The Boleyn - wasn't it the case that indeed the club received money for it, but from a company that immediately then sold it on for much more. And that Sullivan had a stake in that intermediary? So the club should have benefitted to the tune of many millions more than it did. IIRC, I think it ...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady
I have always thought, I hope sully makes a mistake and ends up desperate to sell and doesn't make anywhere near as much as he has hoped he would. I can dream can't I? Unfortunately, anything that hurts Sullivan would equally hurt the club and it's support as well. Personally, I hope he makes pots ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I dare say that is what Sullivans long term goal has always been. Sell our home, pocket £20 millions, get a deal on the bowl, sell the club with the bowl included, pocket £100s of millions. For my two penny worth. IIRC, the 'club' sold the Boleyn and 'pocketed' the money (rather than the owners dir...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
If/when he signs for City, they will of course get the player we saw when he arrived here. The player who fought back when dispossessed and more often than not regained the ball instead of pouting and waving his arms around. The player who picked a telling pass instead of showing off with beach tri...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Its probably a s**t contract, but Moyes has wrong footed Sullivan by making it public. He can now leave under his own steam with integrity intact.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
My ramblings here. https://www.kumb.com/article.php?id=44842 Excellent post Rio. Whole heartedly agree. Lets have a good time regardless. We owe the team and the manager our very bestest support. No room for the miserable crew, pro Moyes or anti-Moyes. We have had a great 3 years many of us may not...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
As for 'who's next' a lot will depend upon if Sullivan is still here. If he is and still calling the shots, I think it is pretty certain that whoever arrives will be a known name (rather than up and coming) which will hamper Steitden somewhat. So regardless who is on his list, if Sullivan hasn't hea...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Some excellent posts last few pages. Some sanity. I am not sure how each of you feel, but I feel knackered and tired of it all. My head hurts. Relegation worries were less negative and easier to take than this. Perhaps that is it. We became so used to yo yoing between bottom third and middle tier, w...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
And btw it makes me sad to say that. Some very fair points TTS and presents the quandary I feel most of us face. With the spectre of Sullivan and the mystery of Steidten and Newman it becomes difficult to judge Moyes fairly or clearly, IMO. Whilst I think most would accept Moyes cannot be blameless...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
His passing has abandoned him. He had time and space to feed his forwards in this game but his passes were flubbing. These were balls that from last fall you’ll see all over West Ham highlight reels To be fair, his passing has always been a bit hit and miss. His ability to lose the ball in dangerou...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm
I was reasonably entertained first half. Should have been 2-0 early doors when Antonio and Paqueta both missed sitters. Not half chances, sitters. They score with pretty much their first attack where we gifted them their goal. To be fair, we put out a very attacking side and pressed high up the pitc...

I didn't name any names, but nice of you to put your name forward. Again.
Condescending and patronising? Yes I agree, but (in my defence) it's hard to be otherwise in a forum. But yes, guilty as charged.

er...no. It was clear to everyone it was serious. About 6-8 physios on (Including Fulham's), the mobile trolly, stretchers etc. What is difficult to understand.? Very poor form by their lot.UpneyHammer wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 4:26 pm To be fair, I don’t think they realised the extent of the injury.
Let’s not go over the top here.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
i'd say atleast 80% of the support must be deluded at this point then. Support or followers? I believe most of the negativity is from people who follow the club, but I wouldnt classify as supporters. Look at the match day thread. Same posters, obviously don't go to games, repetitive and tedious pos...

Re: VAR 2023/24
 How have we got to the point where referees are deeming this kind of contact to be a penalty? Madness. Looked a nailed on penalty for me. Unlucky perhaps, but player definately moves him arm to ball and you can see by his reaction he knows it. As for the 2nd one, once again VAR managing the m...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
I don't think he enjoys playing moyesball he looks really frustrated most of the time ,give him more of the ball with better options with more attacking football then I think we would see the best of him ,he certainly isn't in Di Canios league, but to be fair Di Canios team was alot more attacking....

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
 You need good movement to do this Paqueta does it for Brazil as he has players moving into space for him West Ham don’t do this so he is left trying to keep the ball whilst looking for a player to show for him In my opinion this is due to the managers rigid style which discourages players mo...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm
After Thursday, this is a tough game both physically and mentally. I wouldn't be surprised if Moyes makes some changes because of that, rather than the upcoming game next Thursday.
Strangely, perhaps, I can see him starting 3 or 4 from the bench. Possibly Johnson, Aguard, Ings and Phillips.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Have to partially disagree with you. The defensive aspect of the plan, to neutralise Leverkusen's threat, worked superbly for 80 minutes. But, and it's a big "but", I don't believe it was part of our plan to only register one serious assault on the Bayer goal. The counter attacking elemen...
