Re: Declan Rice
Declan Rice was not one of those such players. We had no choice but to sell, because Rice himself forced our hand, and then forced our hand again as to the destination. City have Rodri. They were interested but not enough considering the quality of the player. Nobody else had the financial muscle t...

Re: Declan Rice
Does anyone who's saying Rice gave us £100 million (he didn't btw) honestly believe that he wouldn't have run down his contract and left on a free if we hadn't agreed to sell him? He turned down a contract offer, which he’s entitled to do. If Bowen turned his offer down, he’d be getting sold this s...

Re: Declan Rice
To be fair mate you're biased as you have some sort of personal connection with Rice. I wonder if your views would be different if it was a player that you did not have a personal connection with? Maybe, I don’t know. He’s a nice man, nice family, gave everything, and gave us £100m. Y’all want to h...

Re: Declan Rice
With three years left on his contract he was talking to another club which left us with little choice but to take less than market value. We could have bought another player with the extra £20m. He can do one. Arsenal were the only serious bidders. City were interested, but wasn’t as desperate for ...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
Three of the back four take care of themselves, I wouldn’t base anything on these friendlies.
The last remaining question is who plays left back. I’m inclined to put Trippier in there if Shaw can’t make it and we also need to consider Stones’ fitness and who might be the first deputy.

It’s on a knife edge. Needs to finish the season strongly which I’m sure he will.Upminster Hammer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 9:27 pm I think it will be impossible not to take him after tonight.

There’s a reason why the manager chooses to be defensive.

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
I think Saka starts ahead of him but Bowen brings two positions he can play in. Big strength in a 23 man squad where versatility amongst the back ups will be key.dasnutnock3 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 8:15 pm Almost doesn’t matter TBH. Bignose is seeing what Bowen can deliver, if he starts him.
Good half so far.

If Luke Shaw doesn’t make the summer, who would people on here go for?

Re: Declan Rice
You’re welcome and the best part about it for you is it exclusive to this West Ham fan forum. I won’t be going over to an Arsenal forum as I know the value of loyalty unlike 2 faced Rice. Loyalty? He played over 200 games for us and at the end of his time here, enabled us to go bring some very good...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
Mainoo is in the squad because of injuries, players continually fluffing their lines, or poor performances.
Good luck to him, there’s certainly a spot to be grabbed in the summer.

Re: Declan Rice
I like to try and tell myself that Declan Rice no longer bothers my conscience. I’m not rabid about him, but it seriously pisses me off that he was a captain of a seriously established big premier league football club with a fine history, where he’d established himself as an England starting certai...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
With all the talk of FFP, how do we look? From where I’m sitting, we must be in one of the best positions from selling Rice and Scamacca, and spending less than what we brought in last year. Though I’m happy to be corrected. Bingo transfer window alert, but it could be a big summer for us in relatio...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Is there anyone Chelsea have to sell, or want to sell, that we genuinely want? For a stupidly low price of course.
Can see the value of Chalobah, and despite his performance yesterday, Gallagher is a very good Premier League player.
