Yeah but you can't complain your way to a Champions League title, so you'll be eternally miserable and broke in that case :crylol:

Re: Sam's ear

Allardyce always had a certain contempt for us fans, he always banged on about us being deluded and that the WestHamWay was just one big myth. He still mentions it now. Basically he didn't like us and didn't bother playing the PR game. Gave the impression that he never wanted to hang around here fo...

Re: The kids are all right

Kermit you seem to go to such effort to defend your point, but little to provide the evidence by it.

Mainoo & Yamal are two generational talents, akin to Declan Rice, Wayne Rooney etc who Moyes has played at a similarly young age.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Not that I'm suggesting we replace Moyes, but Kieran McKenna of Ipswich. I saw something earlier saying they've scored more goals than any team in Europe since he was appointed. Quite an achievement for a team the size of Ipswich Town, even if they are in the lower leagues. Surely even our fanbase ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

DM has a problem using and integrating the bench unlike most other teams and it is affecting our worn out levels on players. I disagree, I think the lack of use of Danny Ings has led a sizeable number of our fans to think he's left Kylian Mbappe on the bench. Same with Divin Mubama a few months ago...

Re: Plastic fantastic

That seems an overly dramatic way of representing what's being discussed on this thread. Apologies HammerMan, you had quoted TPP's anecdote and I was conflating that with the anecdote from Wilko also where he discussed grown men shouting in kids faces. I had assumed you were responding to the overa...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

No, we were on the front foot because we were set up so. We shifted to a more negative set up by taking off our nuisance of a front man and replacing him with a second right back. We then had no out ball, our right winger who pegged their left back in his own half then had to go up top and get bull...

Re: Plastic fantastic

Control the controllable in your life. If you can't stop someone from getting angry, don't give them a reason to get angry. I would ascertain that a parent would assume that buying tickets to a sport venue to go see a football match would enable them to be safe from grown adults screaming in their ...

Re: Plastic fantastic

Taking kids into the home end of a crowd notorious for being quick to become unhappy, wearing the opposition team shirts, is just a dumb thing for those parents to do. We've all probably sat in the home end of a team that isn't West Ham, but if you're following the away side, you just don't wear th...

Would you rather sit next to (and I know that these arent the only two options) A local cockney Season Ticket Holder who boo's throughout the game, calls Mavropanos & Zouma useless, the manager a dinosaur. An Australian who's family emigrated over from Romford, thick Australian accent but watche...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Not even being funny, if the intention is always there to go out and attack the opposition yet in 90% of games in the last 4 years it hasn't happened on the pitch then Moyes should have been fired years ago for being hapless and ineffective. It's better for him that it IS his philosophical preferen...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

It mitigated it for a good season perspective. It wasn't the reason for me for the league form. But if like I say 2 consecutive bottom half finishes, that negates the argument of giving up manager who has us 6th or 7th. Which is certainly one perspective on here. Anyway. I believe Moyes can deliver...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

It's too late in the day to negotiate with Paqueta. - We should have done it last summer Extra 75k a week and release clause of £100m would have increased our return on him. Imagine the outrage if we negotiated a new deal with a payrise as we were discussing a potential ban of god knows how many ye...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

To me that says that heads a dropping quicker. Not bad defenders, rather lack of fight. We haven't had a good captain since Noble left. I don't see Bowen, Zouma or any of the other players being captain material. At least from the outside. With the exception of Coufal that is. I like Coufal's appro...
