A very solid and strong team they have and I think playing in the USA will be fine for them.

They have looked good in their friendlies so far...and with Brazil focusing on the Olympics, Uruguay missing Suarez for some and Argentina having a weak defence, I think this tournament is there for the taking.
Agree that Brazil won't fair well, so an Unfancied team like Mexico or even Equador could go all the at to the final and then who knows. Suarez will feature for Uraguay and the form he's in could see him bag a few goals. Columbia's Bucca at bigger odds may also score a few too.

What an incredible display by Minding, badly hampered and horses tend to struggle to re-quicken if they hit traffic but she still managed to get ahead and hold on very gamely, great stuff

I'm going to the derby tomorrow on a corporate do and know nothing about horse racing so I may well go for that one. £1 each way probably.

Wouldn't recommend going each way unless you can get 4 places, no value as the race is so open, lots of runners and you'd only get the standard 1/5 odds 3 places on course.

I'll be on outsiders too, Algometer and Red Verdon :scarfer:

Cannot wait for the Derby today, as wide open as it's ever been in a long while and should be a cracking face.

Certainly makes picking a winner that much more difficult.

I like the look of Ulysses, Cloth of Stars and Harzand.

I've backed US Army Ranger at all prices down for the derby. His trial didn't look too bad considering him and Port Douglas (a stablemate) pulled away from the field and with Port Douglas nearly three times the price and Ryan Moore still choosing USAR it may prove profitable.

Good luck all.

I had already had a couple of ante post singles but also played E/W 2x2 in Dash and Derby
Maljaa, Harry Hurricane (though don't like the draw)
Cloth Of Stars, Harzand.

A couple of small worries such as Cloth Of Stars not getting a clear run and the draw for Harry Hurricane.

They are still undecided if harzand is going to run, at 1:30 it was 60/40 to run
It had a shoe slip this morning and drew blood so they have had vets etc with the horse all day

They said on TV just before the 2.35 it was all fine?

Nice bit of place money at 40/1 for me in the first race with Goodwood Zodiac! :)

Tremendous from Eden Harzand!

The way he held off US Army Ranger and found more was fantastic.
