8.55 Wetherby - Miss Macnamara @ 11/4. I absolutely lumped on this and it was cruising around as though it was going to pull away and win by at least 6 lengths. But oh no,not with my money riding on it. 2nd hurdle out it was almost brought down by a loose horse. Survived that, took the lead again over the last only for that same f**king loose horse to get in its way running up to the "winning" post. Pipped at the post by a 16/1 shot !!! My luck is soooooooo bad.

2.35 Haydock tomorrow -

No idea why Ansgar is currently 12/1. Last time he raced in October he only lost in a group 1 race by 4 and a bit lengths. He won a group 2 and a group 3 race the two times before that, both over 7f and both also on good ground, same as he gets here tomorrow. Before that he had a bad run but that was over 8f, then before that he won a group 3 in Ireland over 7.

A lot of horses in this race have pretty average looking results. Two of the leading contenders, Aljamaaheer and Cable Bay, both actually finished behind Ansgar in Doncaster back in September.

Breton Rock looks like it'll be the main danger but I just don't have any idea why Ansgar is currently 12/1 so would recommend a hearty EW bet on him now.

Having one of those days that don't happen often, backed four out of five winners at Stratford so far at 7/1, 5/1, 16/1 and just now 22/1. No real insight, just randomly picking them out. If I'd have tipped them on here they'd have been stone cold last.

Had 2 singles & a double on 2 away wins in Spain earlier (Valladolid @ 5/8 and Ponferradina @ 12/5) so going to reinvest some of the winnings in Italy ...

Genoa @ 13/10 to beat Sassuolo and,yes this would be a shock but I've got a feeling for Palermo @ 9/2 to beat Roma.

Two tracker horses tomorrow.

DIVINE runs in the 7.25 at Windsor. She shaped well in 2014 and looks like an improver. She emphatically won over C&D on his first run in 2015. The favourite in this race is Pretend but his mark has shot up and, much like Tryster, is not guaranteed to perform as well on turf. There are 16 runners in this but unfortunately it is not a handicap so we are not getting the four places. DIVINE is currently 11/1 so I would recommend an EW bet.

UNCLE BRIT runs in the 6.10 Carlisle. He has performed well since his comeback from cardiac problems. He runs off 56 but crucially with a 5lb claimer on board. On his last trip to Carlisle, he finished a very close second off 58. Rebecca Menzies' horses are running well at the moment (though she does have an extremely small stable). She tweeted today saying trip + ground are fine with any more rain being welcome. The weather forecast for Carlisle has heavy rain falling from 5pm with a weather warning for it so that looks good. None of the others in this race really seem like class prospects. I think he has an excellent chance. Currently 9/2.

Divine was pulled out of a race last week to aim for this. The way she finished last month was very impressive.I'm defo on it e/w (got 14/1 @ PP)

Roma 1 Palermo 2

Roma got it back to 1-1 in the 85th minute.

Palermo winner in the 95th minute - at last a late late goal that I've been happy about this season.

I don't want to be a misery Richard but I don't think posting roulette stuff is a good route. We've had some problem gamblers on this thread in the past and I just don't think it's a good idea.

I might add that imo roulette is a mugs game and only going to lose you money in the long run.

Had a very wealthly old guy in my cab last week. I was taking him to the local casino (via 2 banks) and we had a consevation about gambling. He freely admitted that he had played roulette at the casino 3 times a week for years, regarded himself as a disciplined and experienced player, yet he was losing about £125k per annum. I asked why he continued to play it, and he just said he loved the game. A casino's dream in other words.

Oh yeah, I just thought I'd post it and show that my luck seems to have turned around recently. Tried to wean myself off it but so far, mission not accomplished.

I probably bet more than I should on horses and football but fortunately I've never got into these machines. The idea of betting against a chipped computer seems crazy to me.
