Re: Official Betting Thread
I'm off to Brighton races tomorrow and lately I've not been able to hit a cows arse with a banjo!
So if anyone has an opinion on horses at the track tomorrow then I'm willing to listen
I'm limiting myself to £50 per race so be it £25ew or £50 on the nose I'm after some winners

Two early morning ones for me.
Tiger to win his three ball at 11/8
Els to win his three ball at 11/8 as well.
Good luck everyone.

Hope you haven't already!
My system is based on being able to lay my bets off in-play (if they play well at the start, I can 'sell' the bet).
See, I don't think all but a couple may win and instead all I need is a few of them to hit half decent first/second rounds. It's just speculative shotgun, Rars method.
If you bet with fixed odds and the likelyhood is that only Rose and Molinari would really be considered in with a shout, so you'd be stuck with some likely duds.
If you want to place a few quid, stick it on a few tips others have mentioned.
As an outside bet, look at Paul Lawrie E/W
But what do I know. Knowing my betting ability, I'd sell them all off for a £50 profit and then 10 of them would go on to make the top 10...
SkyBet are doing top 6 places for e/w
But sod it... if you have stuck em on, then we can fail together

I decided against it thanks to your words RARS, however if any of them do come in, then I fully expect a cut of your winnings!

You should change your name to "Barrel of tits", because if you fell in one I generally think you would come out sucking your thumb.rare as rockinghorse shat wrote:For what it's worth, I have 14 selections, 7 out in play at the moment.

Re: Official Betting Thread
can anyone tell me the result of the 2.15 at brighton?
on a complete whim i followed the choices of the 2 pundits in the sun - templegate picked scommettitrice and tom pepper went for tenancy.
i put £1 e/w on both of them, but can't access betting sites at work

Re: Official Betting Thread
sweeet! only won £12, but better than a poke in the eye.
deposited £5, spent £4 on that race and won £12 - so withdrawn £10 and still got £3 to play with :raver: (i am aware this isn't the biggest win in the world, but last time i bet on the horses i lost £100 and i think one of the horses was put down).
