Chris Ashton walked into the bar I was in last night in Shoreditch. Stacked to the hilt, and followed by a stunning brunette.

Having din-dins in Fade St Social in Dublin, in October. Bloke squeezes past our table nearly knocking over my glass of wine before sitting down at the next table. Got distracted by his gorgeous girlfriend. Said to my wife, "She must be a supermodel." Then clocked the bloke. Rory McIroy. Only one tool pestered him for a photo/chat. We were cool. Classy, us.

Should have knocked him off his bike.

In 2002, Mallett forced West Ham United F.C. to stop selling copies of their mascot, Herbie the Hammer, in their club shop after he complained that it looked too similar to Pinky Punky. West Ham United called the matter "trivial".[7]

Was he drunk? He always looks like he's been drinking, extensively.

One of the weirdest experiences of my life.

Were there hundreds of under 5's there on a school trip visiting the old chap? There were when I went.

Got a lot of time for the bloke though. He practiced what he preached, lived in very modest surroundings considering his position. Found it quite weird that the last wishes of the most reverred figure in their entire history were completely ignored though. He wanted a cremation.

Some Bollywood star who's name I didn't recognise staying at the hotel I was at over Christmas in Dubai, wandering around like he owned the place.

Some of the bodyguards with him looked like Bond henchmen so I gave them all a wide birth.

Similarly, I was in a street restaurant in the Old Quarter of Hanoi last week and was sat next to a Vietnamese pop star .... didn't recognise her name but a couple of people came up for a chat with her. No bodyguards and not a swanky eatery either, she'd just nipped in four a hearty bowl of pho.
