The Doris who plays Janine from Eastenders was in the treadmill next to me this morning. Decent shirt potatoes on her, I thought. Far less grotty in real life than on telly.

Re: Today i bumped into...
Today I spent the afternoon watching football with Les Scadding. He's the bloke who won £45m on euro millions and promptly bought Newport County FC. We watched his team draw with Burton Albion.
For all the criticism of Sam's style last season, we should all thank our lucky stars that we don't have to watch the crap he has to watch all season. Truly shocking, and only the performance of lower league officials is worse than the style of play on offer.

He'd want first dibs on the striker.

I think he could be picked up for about £100 based on yesterday's performance.

Met an old West Ham legend a couple of weeks back, Lawrie Leslie, was our goalkeeper early 60's, all he talked about was the game against Arsenal, ended 3-3, he got injured in goal, so they changed keepers and he played on the wing for the rest of the game, had a blinder he said, he got Hammer of the Year that year as well! Lovely old fella, played in the team with Sir Bob as well. Could have listened to him for hours.
He did make me chuckle, he kept saying, the Arsenal boys kept saying when he was flying down the wing and making them look silly "****ing stop him, he is only a goalkeeper"

You should remind him that he let his country down. Also that he's a boring, ugly, big-nosed b*stard.Whitters wrote:Currently sat across the aisle on a Geneva to Amsterdam flight from well-known penalty-misser Gareth Southgate.
