Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

My wife has pet names for me and I do like them. I do try to discourage her using them in public or with friends as it can be a bit embarrassing.

Multi storey carparks.

You are on the ground level in a long line of cars trying to get in.

There are blokes directing you and holding a placard thingy saying there is hundreds of spaces on the next 3 or 4 levels.

We are all stopped because some dozy twat is waiting with her indicator flashing for some other dozy twat to unload her trolley of bags, take the nipper out of the buggy and and return the trolley way down the other end of the place.

This stupid person could drive past and park in 400 EMPTY spaces on the next level but no she is waiting ten minutes for this space and stopping all of us getting in.

This boils my piss every time I go into one of these places. :P

Thanks for that Ageing, I've just had a great idea for a business venture. Mobile Q Busters. All I need is a sledge hammer and a hi viz. If anyone holds up traffic for 15 secs.... Smash! They get their windows put through and learn a valuable lesson.

People that keep pointing out the age difference between our eldest (7 years) and youngest (2 days) daughters. Yes, we're aware that's quite an age gap. Would you like to hear about the miscarriage we had in 2012?

Hats:

More specifically

(a) caps worn backwards, unless the wearer is still a teenager, and/or
(b) those crumpled-brimmed cricket style hats that older blokes wear.

Linked:

People walking around with crash helmets pushed up and back on their heads.

Daughter born in 1992
Son born in 2002
Lost one in 1997

I just say it took her a long time to forgive me after the first one

Kinda understandable when it's the old ladies who work in Waitrose that say it. When it's the midwives, you'd think they'd have a bit more tact.

That really is out of order Dan. There is 9.5 years between my brother and I, and my Mum had 5 miscarriages in between. We lost our first baby at 32 weeks and my Mum was devastated but it was only much later on I found out why.

Why can't people think before opening their bloody mouths!

I've found with a lot of these things that most people just speak without thinking.

We have the opposite problem.

Mrs Sendo is cooking our third. When it arrives the eldest will be under 3½, the other one will be about 15 months.

"Ooh they're all close together, it's going to be really hard for you, how will you cope" etc.

Don't even get me started on people that keep telling my missus she's getting big.

On a related theme, people that insist a baby looks like someone else. " Oh little Jasmin, she's the dead spit of uncle Harry or some such crap".
They are two different people who through genetics may look similar, but they ain't the same. Unless of course uncle Harry was a Nazi scientist bunging clones of himself up his relations fallopians.....

Bloke at the gym changing room kept looking at me today. Deffo. He did that abrupt 'looking somewhere else' thing whenever I turned around.

Don't mind that, really. With these goods on display, you expect window shoppers.

When he got his phone out to 'look at his messages' at arms length, I decided to move to the other side of the lockers. That's not a euphemism.

I wasn't sure whether to confront him (oh stop it), report him, ignore him, or crack one out over his Puma holdall.
