Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Even just from the lower end of just a one day travelcard a few years back £7.00 the next year £7.90 then £8.90 then this year bumped up to £12!! Ridiculous.

You can blame Boris for that. He's the one in charge of TfL.

People who won't budge a millimetre to give you a little bit more room to sit in the middle of two people.

Or even people who sit in a middle seat that is clearly too small for them and effectively push the person on the end so that he is half on/half off of the seat.

Women, a common feature in this thread of course.

Honestly think I will reach the grand age of 80 one day and still not understand the way their heads work.

I swear they are all wired differently, each ****ed up in their own different way and therefore you can't get your head round any of them.

Why can't they just be as simple as us?

No idea how most of the men in my family have maintained successful relationships...

Hardly a "Little things that irritate you" but an irritant (sometimes) nonetheless.

Agree about women, gorgeous creatures, love them to bits, but all mental, just different levels of mentalness....

My one is pushing me away due to her calling it protecting herself from when I get bored/cheat on here, not all the time, just stages. Can't really blame her as I have been a **** at times with others, but not her, love her to bits, even talking about moving in with me, in between the pushing away, karma is a bitch and I totally deserve it  We will get there....hopefully! |They do your nut in though!

Crying at things that didn't used to make me cry before I had my children.

It's very ****ing annoying and not entirely predictable either. Wife thinks it's ****ing hilarious.

I went off watching Interstellar the other evening FFS.

Being lectured by the IT Dept for trying to download something, whilst seeing them stream films recently out at the cinema on their work PCs.

When standing in a long, long queue, like at an airport check-in or in a shop, and the people at the very front seem to be in their own world and oblivious as to when a desk comes free, and have to be shouted at to move when one finally does.

When I'm at the front I'm scanning all the desks for the first one that comes free and I'm straight there.

tears of disgust i hope!

the only point of the first otherwise utterly useless hour of film is to make you feel more emotional about the characters and their stories in the final five minutes. you got tricked there.

didn't work with me because i was flatlined by characters' stupidity, poor (yet looooong) narration and ludicrous physics, but the girl i was with did shed a tear or two (key word being girl Image)

anyway, with all the threads about your top 5/10/20 films/album/songs/dogs, i don't get why people say "in no particular order" and then still make a list with numbers from 1 to 5/10/20.
not that is actually "annoying", it just makes me think (big energy expense).

Me too mate, I went to see it for a third time last Wednesday (being a student or old person pays off) and the same bit gets me every time. It's the bit where Matthew McConaughey is watching videos of his kids. I haven't even got kids. I blame his impressive acting.
