^ it's fun to watch them just after they lose/die and shake your head like you'd pass that stage one-handed and blind-folded.
anyway, i don't mind people watching what i do, if i'm doing it in public.
a few times i even changed position (slightly!) in order for someone to read better my newspaper (though that only happens when i'm of particularly good mood).

I go the other way, I keep eeeeking the page ever so slightly away from their gaze, teasing them with every page turn. Before they know it they're creeking their neck trying to get a gander of the Metro's ever so informable rush hour crush section.warp wrote:a few times i even changed position (slightly!) in order for someone to read better my newspaper (though that only happens when i'm of particularly good mood).

Me: " What's for tea?"
Her: "Yeah, you're not gonna like it"
I mean, what the actual f***?

The Wife
I've booked to go on a golfing overnight stay for a mates 40th birthday Sunday to Monday.
We checked the date against the dates and West Ham fixtures and everything is fine
So sky TV change the date of the game from the Saturday to the Sunday but we swallow that on as 40th birthdays don't come around too often.
Anyway my missus works at the ground on home games so when they changed the fixtures she pipes up with "Are you still playing golf on that Sunday as there is no one to look after the kids" I replied "No we're still going". "oh" she days "Whose going to look after the kids whilst I'm at work"
My response "I suggest you find/ask someone as my plans have not changed and yours have, your problem, maybe not go into work for one day I doubt the club will fall apart if you don't go in, I'm sure they can manage"
This might sound like I don't want to look after my kids but I work all week I then have to look after them all weekend all the time as she goes out to work (Although she doesn't have to money wise)
I hardly get to play golf anymore so I get things sorted well in advance and then expected to change plans cos her plans have changed.
She is turning into a very selfish person these days, everyone expected to dance to her tune so sorry love not on this occasion.

Re: Little things that irritate you
My old man has always been a drinker but has started really going for it the last few years.
He's become so selfish about things and makes no effort with anyone that I constantly want to cut him out of our lives.
My sister and I have tried everything but he's not interested.
He came over to our place for dinner the other day at about 6 and was already really pissed. You could tell he just wanted to go back home and start drinking again as we don't give him any when he's here.
He said he was going outside for a smoke but instead stood in our hallway smoking. We were in the dining room and I started smelling it so went out there and told him to go outside.
At this point he threw a tantrum like my little girl would and told me to get a grip. My mum drive him home after that.
The whole house stank of fags until the next morning. I don't know why I've posted that in this thread as it didn't annoy me just a little.

Having two cups of strong black coffee, wondering why I still feel tired, then realising that someone had refilled the container with decaff.
Also, decaff coffee. Pointless invention.

Laffers. Was this someone you'd been called on to help?
On the flip side last night was with a lady who had chest pain, was sitting chatting to me then said, "I'm going to die now, bye" and then did just that.
She had 7 Cardiac Arrests in her house, all of which we were able to restart her heart with a defibrillator, she then had a further Cardiac Arrest on the way to hospital where we were then able to restart her heart again.
Got her to a specialist cardiac hospital (Kudos to my crew mate who drove 12 miles into London in 15 minutes), and she went straight into the lab where the Doctors removed 2 blockages in her heart vessels.
And people say the NHS is a let down.....

I cannot work out how people can be such twonks. Oh, saying that though, I know exactly why people are doing this and unfortunately it's going to get a lot worse

I know this is a thread for being p1$$ed off but you are seriously a bloody hero, as are all of the emergency services. Top banana mateHammer Laffers wrote: It was indeed.
