Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Whilst I am sure you are hugely disappointed, unfortunately BA are cocking up more and more (see my earlier posts) and BA Customer Service is an oxymoron.

Don't ever have an issue that needs to be resolved after 8pm, that's when they close!

You'd have probably to have watched the whole thing to pick up on this, but Mo Farah ran in the marathon last weekend, you know.

It irritates me that I seem to get approached by loonies and drunks disproportionally often. Happened again this morning. Happens almost every time I venture out. They appear from nowhere like zombies in The Walking Dead.

Are you a member of the Executive Club?

I'm sure they have an all-hours policy and have been brilliant for me in the past.

It's like people who harp on about how well travelled they are. As if it's hard to pick somewhere and get on a plane and go there. If I was talking to Magellan I might be impressed; but not Sharron from HR. f*** you Sharron.

Grow up, in times of recession people giving money to good causes is nothing but good, regardless of whether they mention they have donated or not.

^ i didn't say they should keep their money, did i?

my point is: why do they tell us? it doesn't help more.
the only reason i can think of, is these people want to be recognized as good people by their fellows just as much as they want to help the charity (if not more).
which irritates me (and that's assuming these people actually gave said money)

as for the "grow up"... yeah, mature thing to say

It helps raise awareness of the charity they are supporting. It is not selfish at all, although no doubt some do it for the reasons you state.
