I should have said earlier. The IT Wizard in question was of course our very own Dyers Leg.
Well done Dyer's Leg, you reduced a grown man to tears at his desk without even being there.
Have one of these :scarfer:

Mrs Bubbs getting confirmation that she can leave a job she hates on full pension at 50.

Pleased for her. She's hit the jackpot - yet again 8-)

Full pension?
What as if she had done forty years service?
That is a good deal, I thought pension schemes were not allowed to do those sort of deals any more.

31 in her case, providing she gives up her redundancy.

Full pension payout for 31 years contribution, plus lump sum paid ten years early. 'Retired' at 50 instead of 60.

She's over the moon. Hates working there now. So pleased for her.

I have to wait til 60 for my pension and lump sum. I jacked it in at 40.

Retiring at 60 these days is fantastic however you play it Bubbs.

Retiring at 50 would be a little too early for me, but I suppose if you've got the money to keep yourself fully active for 30+ years (with luck), then kudos to your Mrs.

I was awoken at 1.00am this morning by my house alarm, two cheeky ****ers tried to break into my abode! There was I in my boxer shorts and baseball bat ready to go all Jet Li on their arses (well, at least try..) when they ran off thankfully, old bill was on site in minutes, taking all the details down when it came through about 1.45am that another unit had already picked them up :scarfer:

Made me rather happy they had been caught so quickly!

Positives were I was in the house alone which was very good, and even better, the ****ers were caught!! Some damage to the property, but nothing that can't be fixed fairly easily, all be it costly I dare say.

Don't often say this due to other experiences with our friendly bobbies, but they were superb last night.

Great result Clacton!

Some right scumbags still around in every area. Hope they get sent straight down, they don't deserve to walk the streets.

Good lord. I've not popped in this thread for a while and I've just seen I turned Burningham in to a weeping wreck. That's made me smile!

My phone rang today as I was in the toilet (at home by the way).

Now usually I wouldn't answer the phone on the loo but I recognised the number as that of a company who called me yesterday about a road traffic accident I had definitely been in over the past few years.

I had the phone on speaker whilst making my piss and said to the guy 'hang on mate I'm just having a piss'.

He hung up.
