Had a good jam when we got back, now a curry and some beer. Good day, big smile.
What bass did you get ?

Epiphone EB3 - it's my first bass, so I thought I'd go in for something relatively cheap. Got some lovely humbucker pick-ups that give a nice thick sound and am thoroughly enjoying it. Currently learning the bass line to The Night by Frankie Valli.

Don't think it'll be long before I go back to Guitar Village in Farnham for an upgrade. There was a nice Fender Precision there which I'll start saving for.... Wonderful shop that I always spend hours in.

That's a nice looking bass Pablo, I always liked playing my brother's SG (the only electric guitar I could ever really play), and that Epiphone looks just as much fun.

If you're looking at Fenders, you may wish to consider the Jazz at it has a slimmer neck (similar to the EB3), I've got an old (early 80s) Squire Precision and, as much as I love it, the neck is quite chunky.

Walking across Southwark Bridge on a sunny morning (beautiful in itself)....preceded by a very well kept female with long flowing black hair, in 'cowboy' boots, opaques and a ra-ra skirt

No idea what the face was like, but from behind.....mmmmm.

Salted peanuts. They taste great and quell hunger quickly. Also, I like using my teeth to split them down the centre line or laterally. Not sure why that's so pleasurable but it is.

Peanuts make me smile.

My boss, who suffers from severe OCD walking into work covered in glitter last night, turning the air blue.

It appears the glitter bomb we sent to his home address arrived.

Npower have been messing me around for months regarding our gas bill.

They've been saying we owe £1500 as THEY messed up our billing when we moved.

It's finally been sorted this morning and in fact they owe us £800 and have transferred it to my bank account.

Do you ever sit back for a moment and think to yourself, "I'm not doing that bad really, am I?"

"And my kids are all Ok",

Some young fella - same age as my boys - knocked on my door about an hour ago - one of these 'probation' schemes where they get youngsters to sell door-to-door as part of their rehabilitation.

Felt sorry for him because he's obviously took a wrong turn somewhere along the line, but it makes me grateful that my lot, and that of my kids is better.

I almost had a punch up with the last little scrote that hanged on the door, with one of them schemes. Heard him call my wife a "horrible bastad' then chased him down the road, red mist fully descended. His supervisor or whatever he was intervened and dragged him away shouting "you f*cking thick plank" in his ear as he did.

Anyway, yes, life could be an absolute shitload worse, and whilst I dislike comparing myself to others, I have plenty to be thankful for and pleased with.

Going to a friends house just after lunch, to drop off some waistcoats, my wife is a tailor and is making them for their daughters wedding, and it turning into an afternoon of drinking whilst sitting around the pool and chewing the fat and putting the world right.

The unplanned drinking days are always the best.

Glad I read that. Had one of these calls 5 or 6 years ago. Thought the same as you and parted with a tenner for various bits of cleaning gear. Had the nagging feeling I'd been conned but now realise he was most likely genuine.
