Ha ha ... sounds like something out of The Inbetweeners-DL- wrote:So I've started seeing a new lady, and as you do, on a few occasions we've shared intimate pictures of each other for our respective **** banks.
Anyway, she's round her grandparents house with her mother, bored shitless and is sitting in the garden having a fag browsing them, when the pop up has come up on her phone to cast to device, the device being the grandparent telly. In her panic, instead of tapping deny, she's tapped allow and her mum and grandparents were treated to a slide show of my bits as well as their daughter/grand daughter's bits.
Since I got the message saying what has happened, I've not stopped giggling...

When you see a people carrier go by with a registration plate along the lines of "V8 45TN" or "4MG SL55".

Reminds me of a truck they have at Wingham Wildlife Park in the dinosaur bit, it's meant to be like the scene from Jurassic Park where they are being chased by the T-Rex. Anyway, the last three letters on the number plate are 'VAG'.DasNutNock wrote:When you see a people carrier go by with a registration plate along the lines of "V8 45TN" or "4MG SL55".

They've most probably fallen on hard times Dan. Had to downgrade the car, but stuck the plate on the new one to save shelving it at a cost of £75 a year.DasNutNock wrote:When you see a people carrier go by with a registration plate along the lines of "V8 45TN" or "4MG SL55".
Mind you, where the 4MG SL55 is concerned; is that a real plate? If so and in the right hands, it would be most probably be worth more than the car!

Hard times, or they've had kids and realised a 2-seater cockmobile isn't ideal for lugging a family and their kit round.Eggs'n'nuts wrote:They've most probably fallen on hard times Dan. Had to downgrade the car, but stuck the plate on the new one to save shelving it at a cost of £75 a year.

Those examples were made up, though I've seen stuff of that type. Brooklands is in Weybridge and they have a lot of "classic" car meets, so there tends to be processions of people driving through town at the weekend in attention-seeking cars, many (especially the exotic Italian motors) have private plates.
Up the road from me is Lyne, a place where "travellers" like to build huge mansions after a successful career paving driveways and burgling homes. A few years back, I saw a pink and white Rolls Royce driving away from there with the number plate "MY DREAM" (or some similar combination of numbers & letters). There's also a Smart Car parked up the road with a registration plate along the lines of "DL1DO".

A great weekend.
Decent result and performance, and I got the catflap to work properly . . . .
Well it made me smile, probably more than it should have done!

What you think is a Smart Car is another Cossack hat wearing, football club owning man's stretch limo.DasNutNock wrote:There's also a Smart Car parked up the road with a registration plate along the lines of "DL1DO".

Being in a Saff London boozer when Millwall have lost 3-1 at home as well as getting knocked out the cup and watching them cry into their beer. Oh the lamentations, the wailing and the cries of anguish.
All music to my ears naturally.

My mate’s home made cider that tips the hygrometer at a robust 9%. Ought to see us red-faced and trading punches in his back garden after a few jars

The autumn equinox is upon us. As of tomorrow the nights are longer than the days, I love it when it's dark at 4pm at night, my favourite time of the year is approaching.

Those plates indicate that the bearer previously owned an exotic car, with a private registration linked to the make and/or model. Something happened - children, economic adjustment etc - that means that the fancy motor has been chopped in and replaced by something cheaper and more tedious, but the private plate’s been transferred.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
I saw a Range Rover today that had a plate that said B05S or something equally tedious.
I see a lot of these type plates actually, I should make a note of them more often.
