Why do white kids from the Home Counties speak with a West Indian intonation?

Where is the centre of London? When you are driving along and a sign states "London 40 miles" I assume this means to the centre of London, so where is the geographical centre of London?

Trafalgar Square. Distances are all measured from the old Charing Cross, which was at the top of Whitehall: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charing_cross

Charing Cross is the correct answer but not for the Romans. They measured distances from their centre of London which was the London Stone on Cannon St. The stone can still be viewed. Used to be a pub there called the London stone where I was to be found most nights.

It's still there, a right dingy hole in the ground it is too.

If a 15 year old can win gold at swimming why cant a person the same age be competative at Athletics?

Tricky one to answer that but I'd say two factors might be that swimmers tend to start at an earlier age in this country, swimming clubs have them training more like professionals far earlier than athletics clubs ie 2 hours before school in the morning and after school sessions as well.

Having been through athletics club systems, they tend to be twice a week for an hour or two at the same age and then you are left to your own training for the week.

So the swimmer gets daily coaching and focused sessions, the athlete (at least in the UK) doesn't. That makes a huge difference.

Also, the nature of swimming means less injury. Take a 15 year old triple jumper for example, they will suffer tremendous stress to their joints and tendons and I'd be amazed if any make it all their way through their junior careers without sustaining more than a few impact related injuries, which all take their toll on what are still physically immature bodies.

Hi mate, wish I had been on holiday, just not been feeling overly sociable and bit down in the dumps.

Have a dislocated joint in my jaw from training and it might mean that full contact, post treatment is inadvisable, so miserable about that.

Being the melon I am I've been sparring on it for 2 months thinking it would just heal up. Facial Surgeon that I saw said I've not really helped the situation by doing so and that his job is now a bit harder than it would have been.

Plus have been trying to wean myself off spending as much time on here as I had been previously. Was in here far too much.

Other than that I'm fine and dandy :D .

A question from my 8 year old daughter. Why can't you tickle yourself? Why does it only 'tickle' if someone else is doing it?

If women are allowed access to "exclusively male" clubs, work & other such matters, can I legally gain access to the female changing rooms?
