Lloyds got fined £117m today, who has that money.

Same with sport, who keeps all the cash when a club or player is fined ?
Since 2013 all FCA fines (less collection costs) go into the government coffers. They publically gave some of it to support charities in 2013 but I don't think they have done anything similar since.

Fines for rivers pollution go into the EA's coffers

Why do the photos of celestial bodies taken by passing probes always look so utterly ****? Do they spend all of that money and then attach the camera from an Iphone 1?

They might as well just do a mock up on Microsoft Paint and be done with it .

Why do the bonnets of red cars fade over time. Why does it not effect other colours of cars too?

It's a strange quirk where the colour red attracts more UV light than other colours which accelerates the fading process. Added to that, undercoat is also usually white or very light grey, over time minute particles of it seep through the top coat, Add to that the degradation of the paint due to weathering and heat from the engine, the paint work then fades.

It's not as common on new cars as they are usually metallic or pearlescent and have a top coat of clear UV resistant lacquer. Although paint technology has vastly improved - but it is still likely to happen on solid paint eventually as they don't have a top coat of lacquer - though not as quickly as it used to.

A good quality UV resistant polish applied twice a year helps prevent it - or a good T-Cut if it's already happened.

Vauxhall cars were a particular pain in the arse for this. And it wasn't always the bonnet either. The whole ****ing car faded too!

Because its pitch ****ing black out there. Visualise looking back the 3 billion miles from Pluto towards the sun and all you are seeing is a larger pin-prick of light that is the solar body, only slightly larger than the blanket of other stars. In all likelihood you probably wouldn't be able to tell which was the Sun unless you travelled against the ecliptic and could see it move against the background.

On the surface of Pluto, the light at ‘noon’ would likely be the equivalent of our dawn or dusk, pretty dim. So you would need a long exposure while hurtling past the planet at 35,000 mph and 8,000 miles distance.

The question you should ask is how come the photographs are so bloody good!

How can easily report a website that is clearly in breach of trading standards? Without having to stay on the phone or go to an office. i.e. an e-mail address. I've searched but nothing

Yeah, I know that but other than phone them or pop to their offices, is there any easier way of doing it?

Edited to make it clearer

It's your trader's local council that would run trading standards in his area. If you know where the company is located, find out the local council and the info should be on their website.
