West Ham Utd 0 Chelsea 4 (01/03/08)

Post by Bobby Orangeboom »

Bring it on, hate em, especially after yesterday..

Anyway's, i'll go for 1-1 or 2-1 West Ham..

& a tip for Mr Green, when Drogba & Lampard are standing over a Free Kick & if Drogba takes his Shirt out of his Shorts, it means Drogab will take the Free Kick, if he tucks it in, it means Lamaprd will take it, trust me, i'm vigilant...

-------------------Green---------------------------

Neill----Upson----Ferdinand----McCartney

Faubert----Mullins----Noble----Solano

---------Ljungberg-----------------------------

------------------Ashton----------------------

Wright, Tomkins, Collison, Sears, Zamora

What have we got to lose.... let the kids have a chance, cant do no worse than the rubbish currently on our bench or getting games. (Not talking about any players I have included in the 16)

Stick with the side from Saturday.

The one up front system is working brilliantly and it's very pleasing to see how well the midfield players are able to get up to support Cole. We're creating plenty of chances unlike when we play 4-4-2 and with a bit of luck we might just be able to nick it against Chelsea.

If Drogba untucks his shirt it means he will take the free kick, If Lampard is eating a Big Mac and coke it means he will take the free kick. I see how it works. Id put our team as

Green
Neill Uppy Anton Linda
Faubert Noble Mullins Solano Freddie
Cole

Bench : Wright Ashton Spector Sears LBM

I think we should play a similar style as the one we did at their place, which for me means LBM and Cole starting up front (with LBM able to drop in left mid). In fact, I probably would go for the same team as on Saturday, with Solano in for Faubert. Don't think wing play is going to be too effective anyway, so probably best for him to miss this one. Or come off the bench when Solano's knackered on 70.

looking forward to this game , i think we could beat them .I know this would not be every ones opinon but i would go for 4 5 1 . I know its a home game but we need to match them in the middle of the park the same way totshit did yesterday and we did earlier in the season .i would go for a mid 5 of lbm ,mullins freddie, noble, and faubert this way we would have to wingers that can defend very good and a center that has plenty of stamina.

as for upfront it has to ashton as much a cole trys he is not good enough and we will have to take our chances.

my prediction 1-0 to the cockney boys

Not the best time to be playing Chelsea, although is there ever a good one? They'll have half an eye on their Champs League game three or so days later, but they aint gonna want to lose again to a London club after this weekend.

I can't see a 442 line up coping with their midfield. Essien and Mikel are very hard-working and strong players, so I'd say we need 5 across the midfield and to play it on the counter-attack.

If Chelsea score early, we're in for a difficult time. If we can win this, we will be a single goal.

Drogba and Anelka need some more time to work on their partnership.

Standard defence

Mullins - Spector

Solano - Noble - Freddie*

Cole.

*possibly Ethers, for his pace.

Do you think that Cech is also trying to work out what system we use for free kicks when Noble and Nobby are standing over the ball?

I reckon our line up will be slightly more predictable then theirs, following their cup demise they will view our game and their quest to close the gap at the top of the premier as a must win and I expect a fairly pumped up Chelski side on Saturday. (Avram has also learned a lesson and will start Cole, that's Joe not Ashley)

Ashton would work ok like that with Ljungberg imo, If it is as a second striker....... my formation is a 4-4-1-1 not the 4-5-1 that we have been playing.

Cole is awful
