Curbs said last year he would keep us up...he did! And Curbs said at the start of the season, in an interview with this very website! he wanted MID-TABLE for me this is between 8th - 12th place, so i think he will yet again do what he saids. I think people should read this interview again, and remeber where we were and where we are now with what has happened to our squad over the season.

Perhaps he's over done it by reaching 10th place and 40 points too early ? I smell a conspiracy here.
1. Curbs original contract was to, a) save us from relegation, b) establish the team as a mediocre mid table outfit ( you've a great record at doing that, plus we've got no one else lined up yet, oh and you're cheap )
2. In no circumstances advance the team beyond mid table ( cos it would make it harder to justify binning you ).
3. Funds will only be released in Jan 08 if you are struggling to meet point 1.b. ( why waste money on your signings when someone else will be coming in soon ).
4. Have a nice retirement.....

I think we should try to put the last 3 games behind us and on Saturday get behind the team.
Instead of slatting them for poor performances.

Booing the team won't help.

Curbs out!

Hate to say I told you so, but 4-0 and a small crisis is pretty much what we've got. The fact that we would lose, anyone could have guessed, but the fact we would lose 4-0, that's pure West Ham.

I don't know why everyone is getting so excited here. Spuds, compared to us, are a team with better quality players, probably a better manager and certainly a winning attitude and great team spirit. There's no ****ing way we can compete with them, nor with anyone above us in the table. On current form we'd be lucky to get a result against most of the people below us as well. It could be 19th April against Derby before we find a team bad enough to allow our current shambolic outfit to scrape a win.

Whatever we think about Curbs, he aint going to be sacked until the summer, if then. That's how long he's got to turn this around but, same as last season, a lot depends on the players attitude as well. I think the nuts on this wheel loosened when Eggy left to be honest. While he was in place there was a general feeling of optimism, of someone at the top really getting involved and wanting to drive for the big time. Since he left I've heard absolutely sod all from the powers that be and bugger all happening in Jan, when a striker was clearly needed, cannot have helped. Director of Football? New ground? What happened to all these things? They may not directly relate to what happens on the pitch but they do have an impact on moral. As does losing 4-0 three times in succession.

I said a LONG time ago that when the goals dry up the people at the back are going to start wondering why they bother and their previous good form is going to slip. Guess what?!

We're in for another miserable end of the season. Nothing to look forward to except Spuds overtaking us as soon as is mathematically feasible and a boring mid table finish.

We certainly need a major overhaul in the summer. The missing Director of Football was supposed to be making sure we got into all the good foreign prospects this time around, wasn't he? The fact that we haven't bothered hiring one doesn't make me feel too good about what's coming in the summer, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

It's a shame, all this. It's really taken the wind out of this season. Can we fast forward to the summer please because there's **** all interest between now and then.

Some of the fickleness on here astounds me. If you'd have given me comfortable mid table mediocrity at the start of the season I would have taken your arm off. And that's nonwithstanding the injuries to most of our midfield and strikers.

I just hope that BG doesn't swing the axe just yet. I was never in favour of appointing Curbishley in the first place but he has done everything asked of him with around 20m or so's worth of talent injured or unavailable for selection at various points.

And it could be a lot worse - the Geordies are even starting to turn on Keegan and that tells you just how dire they've been recently.

Losing heavily to Spuds is always a bitter pill to swallow but lets not kid ourselves - who are we realistically going to get that's any better than what we have now?

I really love West-Ham :crest:

But I do really hate fickle fans, why not for once just show a bit of faith, Curbs has made miracles with the team up to the Chelsea game even though some of his signings have been a bit suspect. But it doesn't feel like We're the Hammers Claret and Blue army for the moment... We should be ashamed Headbanger

Once again most of the players have lost confidence i.e Cole, Ashton, Noble and these are the players that are meant to spur on our team from the word go! If these players cannot be influential on the pitch then the team will suffer like we have seen over the few weeks. What also doesnt help is the fact that Curbishley cannot seem to motivate the team! We always come jogging back onto the pitch and just sit back as if somehow its all gunna happen by magic. We need these so called 'influential' players to start doing more than what there asked for and propell the team back into the positive swing of things. Getting rid of Curbishley may seem the right thing to do but it will not make the situation any better unless we have someone along the lines of Ramos on the cards and im pretty sure we haven't. Untill we buy someone with a bit of influence and someone who can get the team going then we will suffer these sort of patches. The players need to pick themselves up against Blackburn next week and show that we deserve to be in the Premiership.

A bit of both. We weren't at our best but you also gave us so much space in the first half, it was unbelievable. Yet we did nothing with it. 2nd half was even.

I'm just so disapointed, with the players and manager, the owner and some of the pro curbs, when he was doing good, I for one was saying well done, but I knew deep down we was heading for, well lets say a drop in form, under him and I cant see us doing much more then just stay up. Some on here will say thats progress, well for me, the longer we both fool our selfs this is the right man then the longer well stay doing this kind of football and player. I hope as I have said before, we'll see if BG get's a top manager and players in then we can really start to put pressure on the top six and fill his so called dream of being a top team in Europe and here. :crest:
