Chelsea 1 West Ham Utd 1 (14/12/08)
I really am scared for this one, not holding out any hope of a result but you never know!
Green
Neill Collins Upson Illunga
Behrami Mullins Parker Boa
Sears Bellamy
I think its just a case of going as long as possible without conceding which is why i have Mullins in, and try to grab a sneaky goal on the counter with two pacy forwards. However it pans out i don't think it could be worse than last night!

0-1 Terry OG 88 Mins..
I don't ****ing know, dont' get any easier i kno wthat & with Villa up next at Home who look like a very good side on their Travels, i'm scared..
Chelsea is not a Game i'm looking forward to but you never know, they're got their own problems at the moment, not on the same scale as ours appear to be but we have to be posetive & hope we get a bit of luck somewhere along the line ...

Don't rate our chances at all for this one...
Probably going to be a 3-0 job I'm afraid.
Drop Faubert to the stiffs and put Behrami on the right, LBM on the left and Sears in for Cole....at least Sears can run at Terry unlike Cole.....
And if we go 2-0 nil down early doors....haul Mullins or Parker off and bring on Collison for the experience.

0-1, a win for us. Upson will score just before half time. Second half will be all Chelsea, causing dangerous rises in blood pressures for us all, particularly as there will be 14 minutes of added on time.

I've got to the stage where I really couldn't give a ****. I'll go and watch the kids at Chadwell Heath. ( signed Gary Glitter)

Harsh on Mullins but somethings gotta give....Tristan and Sears ready to come off the bench later on.
I'm basically matching up Chelsea's system man for man and hoping for the best

Re: Chelsea v West Ham Match Thread
Exactly how I would line up. OPtions from the bench would ideally include Cole (if we need his height later on), Noble, Bowyer & Collison (different options in CM, if we need to chase it), Ethers (if available) and possibly Faubert (as i can't think of any othger pacy wide option, for a bit of speed late in the day)Essex bill wrote:I really am scared for this one, not holding out any hope of a result but you never know!

Re: Chelsea v West Ham Match Thread
Yesterday afternoon I held fairly high hopes for this game, but my word we were useless last night. We could be the perfect antidote to Chelsea's poor home form

It was a pretty tight game last year at their gaff, and I don't see this years being any different. If we do lose, it will only be 1-0...

Re: Chelsea v West Ham Match Thread
If they score early on, then heaven help us. If they don't, and we keep it tight at 0-0 for long enough, then you never know, it could be a match made in heaven ! What odds Carlton Cole to bag a winner for us on his return to Stamford Bridge ? coz despite my protestations about him, you all know Zola will pick him again.

A spot of desperation, and a spot of fishing!
That is, it would be ideal to have an option of real pace on the bench, so if needed we could cause the likes of Terry a bit of trouble late on. I'm struggling though to think where we would get it from DDM perhaps?!
Mind you, that implies we would be trying to defend what we have, and would be looking to hit Chelsea on the counter.....
So a tad optimistic all round!

DDM's a waste of space, as is Faubert..Hambrosia Stu wrote:

I think for this game we need to go 4-5-1 maybe sneak a goal on the break
-----------------------------Green--------------------------

Behrami--Noble--Parker--Collison---LBM
---------------------Bellamy-------------------------
With what we have this is possibly our best line up, makes for a dull game but what elas do we have?
