We could have done better with Collisons chance (not sure it would have counted anyway, as flag was up i think?) and Nobles chance too. We should have held onto the 3 points, but the way the game ended, i am more than happy to go away with 1 point when it could have been a harsh 0!

Carlton Goal has started scoring and Bellamy is hitting form so its looking good for us. Didnt see any of the match after Cole scored as the stream just died, but our football as soon as we come out from the second half was just excllent!

It a decent result in a ground that has not been too kind to us over the years.

Im deleighted to see Cole and Bellamy banging in the goals now. At this rate Dean Ashton will have a lot to do to convince us that he is worthy of a return.

The only thing which concerns me is the potential for our team to be ripped apart, and the dropped points here, at West Brom, Middlesboro, and at home against Everton might come back an haunt us.

my stream let me down alot today but the bits i saw was impressive, subline finish off cole..if its a free kick outside the box, then its a penalty inside the box (refers to craig being man handled in opening minute of second half). a points better than nothing, away from home. but slightly peeved cos i think we were better than them & with a braver ref would have had all the points.

Yep, we require 4-6 points from these and that will keep us looking towards 8th. Still, we must get those points because it's still so tight.

LBM also did very well defensively when he came on. Still looked commited when he came on and looked well up for it when shaking hands with Collison.

Thought that was Collison's poorest game for us. I'm not having a go at him as I really rate the fella, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen for most of the game. He should've scored too.

Collins looked WELL iffy. Would much rather see Davenport in but as he's a goner Collins' form is a bit of a concern.

Fantastic goal from Carlton - Owen (let alone Ashton) would have proud of that one.
Agree we still lack a bit of creativity between midfield and strikers and we also lack a bit of steel - I don't know why teams can pass through us so directly when we have four good defensive midfielders but they do.
I just can't see this team getting into trouble again - although without Bellamy we will lack a truly frightening striker.

Really good result, especially considering other results (hull & bolton got nothing, Boro & Sunderland drew)

Could have been better defensively, Collins seems to be hitting his limits (Tomkins worth a go?). But to be honest the football we played more than made up for it. Long may it continue.

If Bellamy can play this well once the window closes, can't see goals being a problem for us this season.

26 points, 14 to go from 17 games to stay up...just 4 wins and a couple of draws...now who was worried?!

That is the biggest problem when Zola made the decision to piss Davenport off. Collins has a great reputation, and rightly so. However, I recall Kevin Kilbane, Yakubu, and haun Wright Phillips making a tit of Ginge in a footballing sense. He is not infallible, and I would rather Davenport to continue in defence given his recent performances. It was inexpertly dealt with, and I am still conscious that Jamie Tompkins has a long long way to go.

Disapointed to hear that Collison was poor. However, when Mark Noble returned to the team in 2007 he had some good games (Spurs, Arsenal, Bolton) and some very poor ones (Blackburn,Sheffield United), so I wouldnt be too concerned !

We should have won that, Collins and Neil were poor. Ilunga and Cole were our pick but Guitterez was the best player on the park. We played too deep after the goal

Few more like this and could we ask the PL for a six-point deduction this season and forget the compo to SU?

Seems fair, what do you reckon?

From the bits I saw we could have ripped them to pieces and was robbed of a penalty, I know an away point is deemed a good result but I feel a bit gutted we didn't get all 3 points from this.
I suppose that's a good sign.......

A good Game & a good point, could have been 3, could have been 0 at the same time, i think it evened itself out maybe in the end...

Great goal from our best Player & an absolute quality 2 touches from Carlton Cole..

If only he would have been more direct with a later chance on his left too..

Tell you what though Chaps, today i watched Bellamy & Parker more than i normally do & **** me, if they go, we'll miss them both massively, that's a fact as they're our best 2 Player imo...

If Wiley was a bit more braver we would have had a Penalty forst 10 seconds of teh second half but he should some bravery by dissalowing the OG by Neill so tis what tis..

I really hope we don't sell those 2 Players !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a fair enough game today. Were dangerous when attacking, kept the ball well, and defended decently for long periods of the game. I like the calmness of our attacking play. Well done Zola&Clarke! The only dissapointment today for me was Collins display. He was backing when he already was in the box for the first goal, and he left his man for the second thus letting Upson be squeezed between two attackers. With Davenport seemingly out of the equation, we really don't have an option, but to play the Ginge. Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes.

Dyer being on the bench and being fit enough to play a part would've been well handy...
