Oh, and thanks for your efforts in getting an improvement from Luis, after your success with Carlton.

Sorry if someone else has mentioned it but if you look at the player vs player bit in the match program you will see the caption talks about a 27 year old left back we have on loan but the picture is of Mark Noble....
Plus in the bit where it mentioned the 6-0 win against Sunderland from the early 90's the program seems to think its West Ham United vs West Ham United

Stanislas was told he was playing just two hours before kick-off against Sunderland, so sent a text message to his friends to come to Upton Park.
When he tapped in the opening goal he celebrated by pointing to his mates in the crowd.
"The manager just said to me to clear my mind and go out and play my normal game," the youngster said.
"Gianfranco and Clarkey (Steve Clarke) have come in and got the boys playing well, they've put a lot of confidence back into the squad so it's looking good."
Zola had seen Stanislas score a hat-trick against Chelsea in the reserves and also play for England Under-20s ahead of the Sunderland clash.
With Carlton Cole, Scott Parker and Radoslav Kovac injured, Stanislas' call-up was such a rush that he found himself singing West Ham's famous "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" song as he was about to play.
"I was singing Bubbles as I waited in the tunnel with the rest of the team," he said.

Brilliant result given the injuries, and a solid performance from all but one or two. If Zola can get those eleven to win comfortably, he can do no wrong.
Tomkins was exceptional. By far the best I've seen him play for us.
Exciting times. This set up with a bit of money behind it would be amazing.

Anyone know why Savio wasn't starting? Bit odd to see Stanislas instead...
Still, he did score so who really cares!

It was a good win but it was against one of the poorest side to come to the Boleyn this season.
We need Kovac & Parker back for all of the remaining games (with the exception of Boro) to secure the points we require to finish 7th. If they are fit & we keep getting game time from Dyer I am hopefull of 7th.
If we can get Collison & Cole back for the last couple of games that would be a bonus.

Re: West Ham United V Sunderland Match Thread
I know it's over a week late, but I've just got back from the match!!! (stayed down there for a week but haven't been able to respond to the thread as I haven't had any access)
Naturally I was delighted with the win over the Mackems, although for long parts of the 1st half I was starting to worry. 2nd half was different. Fast flowing attacking football - all be it against a very poor defence. Even my little girl put her DS down and watched. Half decent atmosphere too.
Even got to meet Ex-Pat Holland!!!!! (That was a surreal moment when someone taps me on the shoulder at half-time and asks "are you THE Geordie Hammer??")
One question though....what the F*CK happened to Bubbles at the start of the game???? Did someone decide to play 2 tapes over each other??? (Apologies if this has already been discussed earlier - haven't had time to read through the posts)
