Re: West Ham v Liverpool Match Thread
i think if we can play the way that has made us the 7th best team in the league (i.e. our nomal way) then we have a realchance next week. but this season, when we play the big boys (and tottscum) at home we go all strange and just seem to invite them onto us, pass backwards and sideways, and generally look awful. almost like a return to curbishley-football someimtes. hence how we haven't scored a home goal against chelski, l'arse, mancs or tottscum this year. so hopefully we'll get into the scousers with a bit of confidence next week we can get at least a point, which would be extremely handy looking at the other fixtures next week.

I thought we were the better side against Manure ....
Hopefully Collison will be fit enough to start (doubtful I know) but here is hoping!

Tomorrow's game against Newcastle will have a bearing. Anything less than 3 points for the bindippers and there's a chance they won't turn up as they'll have bugger all to play for.
IT'S ON AT 5.30 -
IT'S ON A SATURDAY -
IT'S ON SULTANA -
IT'S 0-0.

If Newcastle get a point then any chance of the title will be gone and they will hopefully not turn up. With our defence being very good, I reckon we can keep a clean sheet. Also if we have Collison back and If DDM and Tristan play like they did in the first half then we might be able to nick a one nil....
But it will probably be 0 - 0.

If the league is pretty much over I can see them being disinterested because they are away from home.Happyhammer93 wrote:If Newcastle get a point then any chance of the title will be gone and they will hopefully not turn up. Resting Torres and Gerrard would be a touch!

They are stronger on our left flank, much stronger on our right flank, and in the centre they outnumber us two to one. What do you intend to do?
To quote Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington:
"I intend to give them a damn good thrashing!"

Re: West Ham v Liverpool Match Thread
Cole should have a full weeks training ahead of him,Collison too,so there should be a fair chance of them being fit for the Liverpool game.
Re: West Ham v Liverpool Match Thread
Its Zola and Clarke power, hopefully we get a few more bodies back as well.
Re: West Ham v Liverpool Match Thread
We've scored a total of 1 goal in 7 matches against the big 4 so far this season.
Hopefully, we can at least double that stat.
Even if Liverpool fail to get 3 points today, I don't think we can rely on them not turning up. As long as it's mathematically possible, they will continue to fight. Probably even once it's gone as they want 2nd at the very least.
Hopefully Dyer, Savio and Collins will be back to boast the squad. If (big if) Cole is back in training this week, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench too.

I'll predict a narrow 2-1 win, while at the same time handing the title to Manure.
