Wasn't there but from reading this thread he played RB and by all account not too bad (no-one said anything negative - I think). Lots of energy apparently, so basically doing a LBM.

he done a classic "hole in foot" trying to control the ball early doors which was quite funny, other than that he was pretty solid, whipped in a couple of great crosses but there was no-one there to take advantage.

His crosses were never the problem last season, he just never looked comfortable on the ball. I can imagine that rupturing your achilles could affect your confidence so hopefully with a few games behind him he will improve. We have no other options at the moment judging by our dealings thus far in the transfer window.

Having your own "supporters" slagging you off unmercifully can't be a great help. To me he is a confidence player and if only we got behind him we might just see a response. Of course the c**** of "I've paid my money" party who ultimately don't give a stuff about the club will never let it happen.
