Does anyone think that our manager might need to put a bit of pressure on the refs about this?
We have the Wigan goal that wasnt, and these two.
He needs one of those wrist bands, like the Christians (the religion, not the 80's pop group) have, saying "What would Jesus do"?
Only with Jesus taken out, and "Fergie" (the red nosed Taggartalike, not the former Duchess of York, or that bird from black eyed peas) put in.
I do. I think the Mr. Nice Guy thing has to have a line, and I think right now it should have been crossed.
There's also the Carlton Cole foul on Lescott that never was...the Hines foul at Liverpool that was...the magical half time whistle...
Like I said, I'm not one to complain about officiating (because I am one in a different sport). But the general standard of officiating across the league has been WOEFUL. Fouls for challenges they would only call in Spain and South America. Never ending incorrect offside calls (from what I'm told, they are supposed to favor the attacker  ). The only positive I've seen is that officials are less likely to call fouls against forwards going up for headers against keepers, which seemed to me to be a foregone conclusion over the past few seasons (as a foul against the striker). It is absolutely strange to me the fouls they call, and the ones they don't. Except for the ones they don't at Old Trafford, where I completely understand why they don't call them.
