Great idea, except they are exactly the same height...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julien_Faubert" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Gabbidon" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;[/quote]

I would never have thought that.
I will reword it 'Play Gabbidon as he is better in the air than Faubert'

Is you life really that boring that you have to go into such depth when reading the Kumb threads :D

Found this thread languishing on page 2 and as the game is only 4 days away I thought I'd bring it back into focus.

I'll be driving up for this but I'm not really expecting great things from us. The international break may have done us some good with re-focusing players minds etc. but I'll be happy with an away point to be honest.

I think this one might be a bit of a shock to Jiminez and Diamanti - let's hope Collison, Gabbidon, Behrami are all fit. We are never going to out battle Stoke but we will need a bit of steel and we will need to take the game to them.

Kovac has got to play for me. We need a bit of strenght and height in the middle as we all know Stoke are powerful. He could also be useful when defending set plays. If Collinson is fit Noble doesn't play imo. He has been quiet all season and simply not good enough. Bhrami is much needed and I think he could be a big player when trying to get out of this rut we are in. I can't believe some people on earlier pages are calling for Quashie, he is dog ****

Bhrami needs to start. If he does I reckon we will be coming away with a point atleast. Bhrami and Kovac will add a bit of height and strenght to our midfield

I think if we start a team with - Upson, Tompkins, Ilunga, Kovac, Behrami, Cole, Collison and even Faubert (not very tall but seems to be quite strong), then hopefully we will have enough size about us not to get bullied! Then we can let players like Stanislas, Hines, Jimenez and Diamanti work their magic (hopefully).

For a retarded clown you're right. They'll kick us off the pitch yet again. With the likes of Collins and Neill we'd have battlers but instead we've the man from Delmonte and a bunch of welterweight kids.

We'll get battered.

It was hardly in depth though was it. I thought they were the same height, googled it and posted the links to support what I was saying.

Hardly my fault that most people can't grasp the fact that nearly any information you want can be found on the internet with just a few seconds worth of searching.

Would you rather I had just called you an idiot and said they are the same height without providing you with any evidence so we could have an arguement over a couple of facts that would otherwise be easily proven?

Gabbidon is back so I'd have him and Upson CB due to his experience in dealing with big lumps in the championship.

--------------Green
Faubert Gabb Upson Ilunga
--------------Parker
----Behrami-------Collison
--------------Jimmy
-----------Cole-hines

Faubert to put his foot through Matty (Etherington) in the first 5 mins should shut him up.

If Hines could get round Liverpool's defence then I would wager he'd do alright against Stoke's even slower defence.
Maybe it might be of use to have Diamanti instead of Jimmy for direct free kicks though. Behrami and Hines seems to win us a lot of fouls.

I think we'll get a point if we're lucky. No Lucas Neil is a big blow for a game like this.

I agree going to be a shock for Jimenez and Diamanti, I can only guess that parker and noble will be up for a battle in this and faubert likes to get stuck in from what i have seen from him the last few games hopefully Behrami comes on or starts.
