Re: Stoke v West Ham: Match Thread
It's not exactly rocket science IMO what the line-up should be..
As Parker is suspended and we're looking light/crap up-front, has to be 4-4-2 against Stoke, we need points and we need experience in the side..
Green
Faubert Tomkins Upson Ilunga
Kovac Behrami Collison/Noble Jiminez
Diamanti Cole
Kovac/Behrami for holding midfield play/helping out defence
Collison (if fit) or Noble and Jiminez for a bit of creative play (hopefully)
Diamanti in a more attacking role, providing help/laying it off for Cole
Leave the kids on the bench and bring them on in the second half if we're chasing the game/need some more energy..

Are things really that bad at your gaffe?
We was listening to five live on the way home from our game at Everton on Sunday and heard a couple of your fans on there saying how bad it is and how Clarkey needs to sort the defence out, What has changed so much since last season when you seemed to be doing ok?
I'll be posting Opposition view on here later this week as well.

Last season we were shepherded by the police to a bar in the uni(??) and then put on buses to the ground, complete with police motorcycle outriders stopping traffic as we went. It took me back to seventies and eighties when entire towns were almost shut down when West Ham were there as the away team.
We were fenced in outside the ground for bloody ages too!
I am going again (by train) this time and expect the same. Might slip into a taxi at the station this time and have a beer near the ground. Trying to keep positive about the result as well:crest:

Walk from the station takes about 20 minutes.
Come out of the station, turn left, go to the bottom of that road, turn left under the railway bridge, then turn left down the canal path and that takes you to the Brit.

That sounds like a set up, walk under the railway bridge, turn on to the canal path and then get ambushed.

Re: Stoke v West Ham: Match Thread
yeah, co the Stoke lads are going to be waiting from about 10am for you lot to turn up, now if I'd said walk through Stoke then you would be in trouble.
As a fellow dodgy southerner like you lot, I'm not having any of you over lads, I'm totally against football violence, so would no way set any of you lot up.
But I'm not averse to listening to 'The Rejects' though, so if they are doing a gig up here at all, would one of you kind chaps pop onto my forum and give us a heads up ?

Green
Faubert Tomkins Upson Ilunga
Jimenez Behrami Noble Collison
Diamanti
Cole
Or something like that. Play around with the midfield. All our midfielders except for Noble seem to have played in different positions at one time or another.

Re: Stoke v West Ham: Match Thread
Harvester is still the away pub, That's where a few of Delilahs regulars go as well, so if you want to have a butchers at the stoke van, then that is normally up there as well.

This is the team that I would like to see play:
Green
Faubert - Tomkins - Upson - Ilunga
Jimenez - Behrami - Noble - Collison
Diamanti
Cole
We need a win and I think we will get it. A nice 1 - 0 with Diamanti scoring that will restore some confidence in the defence and should kick start the season.
