Didn't expect much from today anyway but things are a little concerning.
Not convinced the players understand the system. We seem to have lost a lot of pace and power that you need to compete in the premiership.

How lucky was Faubert not to be sent off?
That tackle at the end was at least a yellow.

I hate to single out players, but I have said it from day one that useless French twat at right back will cost us goals, he can't pass or cross or tackle and his positional play is awful. I don't give a stuff if he won hammer of the month the guy is useless and I fe king hate him.

Exactly what I was thinking. Still, never mind, who's up next?James P wrote:The most worrying part is that we fielded almost the strongest side we're going to have available this year. There's no one to come in and sort it.

Re: Stoke v West Ham: Match Thread
This has given me the right hump. Made worse by my little boy, in his west ham shirt, jumping up and down shout "yay! Sunderland won!" :arry:
I watched a bit of SSN, so correct me if I'm wrong, but they said Zola made substitutions with 10 minutes to go. Is that right?? If so, surely Clarke would have being saying to him to make the changes earlier. It's a f*cking joke.
I'm losing patience with Roeder and the board.....I mean Zola and the board.

I got a stream working for 10 seconds...just happened to be the 10 seconds in which Beattie scored their second.

I agree we lack pace on the counter ....look at Stoke's 2nd goal .......we lost it in midfield at got hit at pace on the break.
Zola needs to get some help to Cole upfront ....it's all very well passing the ball around in midfield ...but we need to give the opposition something to worry about ......Would like to see Hines up with Cole next week.......Behrami at Full back and Stanilas on as winger.....Need to be strong at the back .....and hit teams fast on the counter with Hines's and Stanilas pace.

This was always going to be the key season with a potential return to actually having some transfer funds next summer (based on the official line anyway), surviving this season could see us over the worst. Relegation with our other problems could be something akin to armageddon for the club.scatts wrote:This is obviously the year the Icelandic chickens come home to roost.

5 points from our opening 8 and we have already played, Wolves, Wigan, Stoke, Blackburn and a Fulham team who we always beat. Not many poor teams left to play.
