I'm still scratching my head how our number one striker Cole (who is in the last chance saloon for the WC squad) fails to make any effort to take a penalty and leaves it to a £1000 a week on loan striker who isn't considered good enough for Smogsboro.

Baffling.

Even Mark Noble should have taken that pen!

It's not that baffling. Mido wants to prove himself. We've seen in the past him try and take free kicks away from Diamanti, "if he tried to pick the ball up I would cut his hands off" I believe was Diamanti's view on things.

With no Diamanti to tell him to f*** off. Mido saw the opportunity and failed.

Just got back stayed all weekend in Chester with two Derby fans and took them to goodison .
They loved it and couldnt believe the "We are west hams Claret and blue army" sung constantly thro the second half.
Never even faltered when we went 2-1 down.
great day Felt like a win to me.

So Cole isn't big enough to do the same?

I was on the screen loads as I was right by the corner flag. Had a pink polo top and a black jacket on!

My throat is killing me this morning and my voice is gone but it's all worth it...especially the night out after!

Just got to add my thanks to the away support. It was definitely the support that picked up the players, I said to my lad that you could feel a positive vibe coming from the constant claret & blue army chant. The players started to show some fight and the fans took them all the way. Brilliant and it looked like our supporters were enjoying it as well. Top marks chaps...

Well he's not managed to tell Diamanti to do one either. So no, I guess not.

I've just seen a link to a highlight and I actually get a menton off the commentator!

After the second equaliser the camera is on me and he says " I don't think that fan could bear to watch", and there's my ugly mug!

Yeah, he said something like that - I was actually looking at the big screen in the corner, the old eyes not being as good as they used to be!

Why see it in such tediously base terms?

Do you want all eleven of our players putting on a macho act and wrestling each other for the chance to take a penalty next time? :asleep:

I had 2-2 at 20/1 so Ilan's goal was goal of the season so far for me

Cole has never been our penalty taker yes he may have took one when we was 4-0 up earlier in the season, but both noble and diamanti are ahead of him in this respect. I dont see why he should be expected to insist on taking a penalty, how many penalties has he taken in a competitve game before 1 maybe.

First of all can I say this is the first time I've been online since saturday, its Nantwich Jazz festival weekend and my bellie's full of beer and my head's full of music.

I did however take a break from the musical extravaganza and pop over to Goodison Park with No.2 son and a mate of ours and his missus.

Fanfuckintastic away day in the traditional Hammers stylee. Sang til we were hoarse and clapped and banged the seats until,in my case,I split my thumb, and in son and mates case, the old bill stopped them.

Not read the whole thread, stone the bastad' I hear you say!, but on the highlights on old auntie B:-

Scott Parker took the ball, clean as a whistle, and should never have been booked.

Was Terry Brown sitting with David Gold?
