An Australian Millwally now playing & living on Merseyside, can it be more unfortunate being born & bred like that Timmy ??Essex_Exile wrote:That nice Mr Cahill's injured, is he?

Im just glad me and the lads in the Venga bus will be hungover from our night in Liverpool as this is gonna be a brutal lesson for our lackluster team.
Sadly a big EVERTON WIN.

Staying with a mate and his wife in Chester before the game hes got a Chester city Tattoo and is a season ticket holder at Derby but has a soft spot for us and is insane enough to come with me to watch us get heavily beaten.Confusing huh ?

We've been lulling everybody into a false sense of security.
Zola's master plan is to play Spector in a free role behind the strikers....the signs were there against Stoke.
Everton will think they have it easy on Saturday and we'll destroy them 5-0 then go on to win our remaining 5 games scoring 30 goals and conceeding none.

Everton 1 - 1 West Ham
I think that is what you call blind optimism.

Not bad but my 11 of:
Green
Faubert
Da Costa
Upson
daprela (ilunga)
Stanislas
Parker
Noble
Kovac
Beharmi
Cole
Would do better as its more set up for the break. I would play Dyer for Stanislas if he is fit

I agree, playing a second striker of the quality of Mido or McCarthy is clearly a waste of time. Better off playing 5 in midfield in the hope of protecting the back four and praying for a draw.

Yep, flood the midfield and stick Behrami on Arteta, best and only chance we have of getting something! oh how we change our whole ethos on playing football when we are in the ****

That would be close to my ideal line up.MD_HM wrote:-----------------------------Green----------------------------

I'd be a tad worried about changing the defence around too much, as it seemed against Stoke there was some improvement
Even so, my ideal line up would be:-
-------------------------------Green
Spector---------Da Costa--------Upson-----------Ilunga/Daprela
-----------------------------Parker
------Faubert------------------------------Behrami
-----------------------------Noble
---------------------------Diamanti
-----------------------------Cole
Something like the diamond of last season. Ilunga/Daprela providing the width on the left, Faubert on the right.
Parker holding, with Noble alongside in the middle, when we are defending.
If we break, Parker goes, Noble stays.
If we have possession in their half, Noble pushes forwards, Parker sits
Diamanti in his best position behind Cole
No Kovac!

Dyer does not deserve to be playing ahead of Stanislas and I have much more faith in Stanislas than Dyer anyway.

If your after a Pub with no Everton in it, my mate Paul has "The Arkles" up by Anfield it's approx 15 minute walk through Stanley Park to Goodison.
I've told him we will turn it Claret n Blue on Sunday, so if you go tell him that Dave sent you, beer won't be any cheaper if you do but at least he'll know I tried.

I'm sure he will be back in a few games time for a nice 30 minute run outMarky wrote:

Not at the moment, no it wouldnt. Before now, there was always a glimmer of hope against the top sides, but now its all very predictable. 3-0.robert greenhio wrote:
