Great stuff. Sounds like the team played some good stuff; looking forward to seeing some highlights at some point. And top marks to the travelling fans as always!

As I said although not a clean sheet, there was more chance of a clean sheet with Tomka playing, best defensive performance of the season. Well done boys!D C wrote:

not sure about that... the way we coped with the Stoke blitz was quite good fella.saludo de carlitos wrote: As I said although not a clean sheet, there was more chance of a clean sheet with Tomka playing, best defensive performance of the season. Well done boys!
didnt sound like we had much to do tonight... but only had tonight on the radio so hard to compare.
never the less... great to get a win... even better that it was away... even better that two forwards scored and linked up well!

We did cope good at Stoke, but were slightly lucky, tonight they sounded very assured against two very good strikers.

not one to be selfish but i hope we get newcastle away next round. I'm still a bit gutted I'm down here in Essex when we're playing a few miles from home.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
This fillip to the team's confidence came right on time! Get a bit of self belief back.
It should certainly give AG food for thought?

Tell you what, they've just shown extended highlights.
Stech made a great save with not long left and Cole really should've buried his chance late on.
