LC3: Sunderland 1 West Ham Utd 2 (21/09/10)Moderator: Gnome Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadWell taken goal by Pic, Scott unlucky not to score another 2nite...
Let's hope we can take this into the game on Saturday, there's nothing more than I'd like to stick 2 fingers up at the tosser Spurs fans at work that have been giving me grief this season.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadin regards to piq's goal i cannot remember the last time we have scored in that manner, rounding the keeper and into an open net
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadWhy can't Cole score anymore, he should have done better with that chance.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadJust what the doctor ordered, fu*king great result!
Ipswich away please
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
I bet the lad who might have ended up sitting next to you on the coach isn't.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadYes yes yes yes yeeessssssssssssssss! We won. Away! Up north as well! We didn't let in 3. We scored more than the other team. I knew deep down in my heart we could do that again! Get in there!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
You could engrave that on his epitaph!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
I just caught them, great save from Stech, but Cole was far too casual with his finish. On the performance tonight, I suspect Obinna and Piquionne would have buried it. Feel a lot more comfortable about Stech being our reserve keeper now.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadGreat result!!! It might be the cup but this will do wonders for confidence. Saw the goals on SSN and the second was a great little move.
Bring on the Spuds!!!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadWest Ham? Away win?
What's the meaning of this witchcraft?
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadThis seasons's turning point, and just what we needed!
COYI!!!!!!!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadYes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Swansea away next please.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadI'd rather get an "easier" home draw and go through to the next round with less hassle.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
Difficult to say, would either of them have shrugged off the last defender as easily as Cole did? Last edited by HammerMan2004 on Tue Sep 21, 2010 10:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadGreat result! just what we needed. Well done to the 600 who made the trip.
Ipswich away please
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match thread
Cheers fella. Despite everything they have ever put me through. I still believe in the useless ****ers! For we are West Ham's claret and Blue army!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadWhy the **** are the cunthole SSN presenters covering the cricket.
Stupid game Stupid ****ing game and they all decide before the game who is going to score and when. Ridiculous.
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadI know Cole went through a purple patch under Zola.....but, then what?
Let's face it, he's a useful player to have around, especially defending against set pieces, but, he ain't much cop at doing what he's primarily there for is he? Benni Mac in his prime was three times the player Cole will ever be, if he can pick up where he left off, who knows? We hired him for a reason!
Re: Sunderland v West Ham Utd: match threadIt was only the radio, but is it fair to say that we actually seemed to be fairly comfortable on the ball tonight, throughout the match?
There sounded like the odd occasion in which the defence rode its luck but the match stats suggest we had more shots on target than Sunderland, who, as others have noted, had a full strength set of forward options as starters in the game. Well done Irons. At last sounds as if we're starting to play with a bit of confidence. I await the TPP travelling report with interest.
