Did you see how shattered they were last night?
Unfortunately Sky have seen to it that Premiership survival is paramount and it has, thus, diminished the appeal of the domestic cups.We have another three games in the next ten days and I would happily trade in the FA Cup for 6pts in the Premier League.[/quote]
Actually they didnt look that shattered to me. Not as shattered as the Brum players anyway! I agree that the Premier League is far more important than the FA cup, certainly to us in this position but I think the cup deserves the respect of us trying to put out a team to win the game.
I think certain players should and will be rested but to suggest we then fill the team with 'youngsters' with zero first team experience is both unfair on them and unfair on the punters. I think we have suitable (if not good enough) replacements within the squad without the need of promoting Montana et al.
I expect to see Gabbidon, Illunga, Kovac, Sears, Jacobson (cup tied?), Piqyournose and Obinna come in for Upson, Bridge, Parker, Noble and Cole......
Same as at the mo, still, thought Tommo had a solid one, apart from the corners, I dread a corner, how many have we conceded from corners?Any statos out there
Going to this one. Still feeling numb after yesterday's debacle. Lets hope we completely play forest of the pitch, it's the least we (the fans) deserve.
Hate to say it for the paying customers but this is one for the stiffs and kids - we need to rest ALL those likely to play in the next 2 league games next week.
I'd go for Boffin between sticks, a back 4 of Gabbs, Reid , LLunga or Jordan and Upson (just to make the **** suffer), a midfirld of Kovac, O'Neill, Sears and Specs and up top 2 out of Big Mac, Hines or Nouble. And a load of acadamies bench warming.
Result? Anything but a draw please.
I'll most probably pop along to Thurrock FC, had my fill this week for sure!
Forest are in form and on fire. We'll be going into the game off the back of a 2 hour cup semi final loss...and we're hampered by having Mr Motivator himself Average Cant in our corner.

I quite agree - Any truth in the goss I heard that Kovac is about to leave?
Forest are only 3 or 4 places below us and are in form ....can see them doing us, except it won't be that much of a shock - nor will passing each other at the end of the season. Saw them play at Pompey earlier in the season and despite losing, they looked well organised and fit.

I would never allow the useless fat c*nt any where near Upton Park again, let alone don the Claret and Blue silks.
Sears can play up front, Bennie Mac can just f*ck off to Mac D's and never show his fat face again, and he can take Kieron Dyer with him - its not his fault he's ****ed but FFS, just go, please.
i would play mostly youngsters and if we win its a brucie. the quicker we are out the better. the club dont deserve more of your money on the dubious doubt of us winning the cup.

We've conceded the most headed goals in the league, and only one goal from outside the box.
