Team against Forest
Baring in mind that we have Blackpool on Wednesday then Birmingham next sunday, do you think that Grant will play a slightly weaker team for the FA cup as he did against Barnsley.
Im thinking he should give Parker and maybe one or two others a rest for this one.
Any thoughts on who he should rest/play?

Not sure who we'll play but Forest are a strong side and I think we could come unstuck against a team we might be playing next year whatever happens.

Re: West Ham United Vs Nottingham Forest match thread
Hopefully something like:
Boffin
Spence
Reid
Gabbidon
Bridge
O'Neill
Spector
Lee
Barrera
Nouble
Sears
Resting the legs that need resting, giving match practice and integration time to those such as Gabbidon, Bridge and O'Neill. Sears will be fit as he's had a game or two off. Never want to see McCarthy anywhere near the team again.

Apart from the fact O'Neil can't play because he's cup-tied.UptonHammer wrote: better

That won't stop us, just bring him on from the bench

A walk on the wild side with team selection for this...we know experienced players in our team go to jelly and forget how to do their jobs for 90 minutes. Blood some youngsters...they can't perform any worse than what we've already been subjected to.
Could be a cracking game...a win will be a bonus.

If its half as good as January 2003 Third Round game, it'll be a good one.Gerblatz wrote: Could be a cracking game...a win will be a bonus.
Marlene was playing for Forest that day and at times they played us off the park and tbh we were lucky to get away with a 3-2 win.
I'd settle for the same outcome right now.

Another season we were fighting relegation...yes mate it would be good to get the same outcome now; lift some of the gloom around the place.Chicken Run Supreme wrote:

From what I have seen on the TV from Forest and spoken to some Tractor boys, Forest are a passing team, like to keep the ball on the floor. Should be a decent entertaining game, throw some youngsters in there with some old guard and happy days. Would like to see Ba given a run out at some point as well.

Strongest possible team please. Why people think throwing away a chance to continue in the oldest and greatest domestic cup competition in the world would help the league cause is a complete mystery to me.
