Pinky,
I agree that as a football club like all the others, we get entered into three competitions each season at a minimum. For that purpose, we have a squad of 25 eligible players whom the manager can, when at his disposal, decide to play depending on the level of competition or priority for the club.
As we have seen more so over the last few seasons, football clubs have clearly played "weakened" teams depending on their circumstances and or league position.
Looking at our case in particular, with the OS at stake and the owners more than likely wanting to put more money into the club to take more of a holding share, we need to stay in the Prem; as a priority for the survival of the club and the survival of the business.
I understand the frustrations of the fans, don't get me wrong....but this time I think Grant did the right thing.
We'll agree to disagree Pinkster

I'm sure this has been covered earlier in the thread, but Kovac was diabolical (again?) yesterday. Couldn't find a pass, couldn't win a tackle, won about 10% of his headers and the ones he did win went backwards or straight up in the air. The main thing for me though was when Forest had the ball building from the back, he was just wandering around like a senile old man. He didn't look like he knew where he was, let alone knew what he was doing.
How he stayed on for the full 90 mystifies me.

Needs him for wednesday, the other c*nt he dont.

Noble needed to be rested for the wednesday game. We're hardly spoilt for choice in the centre of the park at the mo.

As for Obinna's second goal, was it just me who thought he said that he meant it in the interview?
It looked like a mis-hit cross.
Cant remember the last player to get a hatrick for us.

Good question. Marlon Harewood against Aston Villa is our first season up is the last one I remember?

From the Chicken Run, it looked like he saw no other options, so thought 'F*** it, I'll hit it'.
And it was one of those where you saw him hit it, and saw it in the net, and it took half-a-second to actually realise a) it was in and b) it hadn't been disallowed for some reason, before we all go f'ing mental :raver:

Why ?Topbre_22 wrote:Noble needed to be rested for the wednesday game.
Probably ran no more than 6 miles or so during the game .He's young , fit and not long back after a 7 week lay off .
He needs pitch time .

TPP - I understand what you are saying about Noble, but our midfield was extremely limited on Sunday, they worked hard but everything went through Noble and he had to keep coming back to get the ball and then kept driving us forward.
I have been impressed with his attitude when he has played in games when he has been the playmaker. I think if LBM had started he would have had better support in CM. Kovac doesn't really get forward, which is fine but with Barrera and Sears not the strongest of players, Noble had a lot of work to get through and I thought taking him off and putting LBM on for the last period made sense.
