Seriously over the moon with that, not seen the game but will be watching football first
Victor is on fire & Keane scores on his debut....the most optimistic i have felt about us staying up for a long while, the first of 3 huge games resulting in 3 points
Get in there you ****ing Irons

Tomkins was unbelievable tonight - carrying a knock from the 1st half - but battled on, true WHU.
Reid looks dangerous, and not in a good way. MDC back please.

Maybe young hammer of the year as hes really stepped up but 2nd half him a Reid looked shaky as f*** defensively. Won some important headers though. I think we were lucky they had James Beattie up front!alkali wrote:Tomkins already HOTY for me...

Why is it ALWAYS when West Ham play a side, the opponents are 'gash'?Irish Iron wrote:By the sounds of it Blackpool are gash, thankfully.
Never ever that West Ham have played well?
Massive result tonight, well happy with that.
The extra bit of quality in the side(O'Neill & Keane),made all the difference. We looked dangerous all game & no one will like to play against us.
To have 10 shots on target as an away side, shows you we're gonna create & score goals.
The only worrying point tonight is Gabbs injury.I hope he's ok for Sunday, cos imo Upson should be benched.
Anyhow great night

Reid is obviously improving and he's definitely got the heart and bottle for this league. I can see him being a good defender with more experience and the right coaching. He certainly appears to care more than Upson does.

Re: Blackpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
It's on chaps. We're looking a decent outfit now:
Scott Parker. Back to his very best...awesome performance. Charlie Adam had his moments tonight but Scotty owned him for the most part.
Noble. Very very classy.
O'Neil. Super solid and knows the job. Allows Ribena to f*** about and do his thing.
Ribena. On fire. Unplayable in the first half.
Bridge and Jac - finally two proper full backs who can play in both directions. Makes a massive difference.
Tomkins best game for me tonight I think. 100% concentration and zero errors.
Gabbs was solid and Reid is improving game by game, minute by minute. Don't write this kid off.
Robbie Keane? Future West Ham legend, I promise you.
The OLAS faithful. We are not worthy.
Only slight moan up for me was Avi. He made exactly the right changes but probably 10 minutes too late. We'd have seen that game out a lot more comfortable if he'd acted sooner.
Big thanks to whowever it was (westhamamerica I think) that called ESPN3 for this game. Never heard of it before - best stream I've ever watched.
Happy days.... :raver:

Gotta make sure that Wembley at the Carling cup will cost them the league, beat them on Sunday and hope they will go down.

Cardiff...
I think he means gash going forward. We invited alot of pressure onto ourselves again, and luckily for us, Blackpool aren't good enough to take advantage of it. We defended well too though, not taking anything away from that.

My god I still feel nervous as hell at 1-3, I really hate football at times.......why does it do it to me....no calm spell this time.
A win on Sunday and we could have a small buffer between us and the relegation zone. :raver:

Re: Blackpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
I still think Tomkins and Upson is by far the best back two pairing we have.
Despite how poor we we're going forwards against Sunderland away, it was the performance of these two that gave me hope.
I'm not saying Upson's form is anyway near it was 18-24months ago but he is still a key first team player for me, particularly considering our other options.

Re: Blackpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
its funny I used to joke about being 3-1 up in games with 15 mins to go and being nervous...
But lately even with a 2 goal advantage I find myself constantly looking at the clock as each minute passes.. only at West Ham!
