Loathe him, hate him or be mildly annoyed by him, he is far and away the preferred partner for Tompkins for me.Hugh Jargon wrote:Have to say Upson had a great game today considering he was not 100%. He is very camp though ..Pardon?

The FA will ignore it, now if it was a West Ham fan the club would be heavily fined then called racists in the media.hornsey wrote:anyone else notice seat getting thrown in the away end?

Yes, obviously couldn't have been one of the "best fans in the world" though...hornsey wrote:anyone else notice seat getting thrown in the away end?

No you've got it wrong, they wasn't throwing it, he was only trying to nick it but tripped then it went flyingAlbie Beck wrote:

Really? Because I though that Liverpool had a good shout for a penalty, he let Noble take a corner twice AND when we tried to clear the ball it hit Bridge, square in the face (He even went down like a lead baloon) and the ref gave the thrown in to us :lol:Dan1326 wrote:The ref trying his best to win the game for Liverpool,

He seem to have a beer belly today.[HH] wrote:Anyone else think that Gerrard is carrying excess weight?
Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread
I can't name many other strikers I'd want to come on in the last 20 minutes of a game to protect a lead than Carlton Cole.
He won every header, holds up the ball (Even is he's sometimes pushed off it frustratingly easily) and gets the odd goal to give a cushion.

I thought the ref was very fair today.Dan1326 wrote:The ref trying his best to win the game for Liverpool,
Almost thought that he was a West Ham fan when Avram hugged him.

Today was first game this season that we have put a strong 90mins together. We have had good spells in games and good halfs but never a full game, until today in my opinion.
You only become recognised as a good team and a good player if you are consistent. We have to turn in a similar performance 5 or 6 times in a row.
Cue us thinking we are now big time and can stroll into the Stoke game and walk it. It always happens. 0-1 Stoke.

Whereas we should of had 2 clear cut pens where their call for a pen was handball by them (not given) oh and the "foul" was outside the area and also the ref letting liverpool play on for the offside after we gave the ball back without them taking a free kick how does that work?Hammer Laffers wrote:

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread
The only other game we did that was against Tottenham. A game which we won as well, of course.stubbsy07 wrote:Today was first game this season that we have put a strong 90mins together. We have had good spells in games and good halfs but never a full game, until today in my opinion.
Maybe Arsenal away this year comes into consideration as well, not that we played them off the park, but we did exceptionally well given the circumstances, to get beatn by a last minute goal of those c****.
But apart from that, you're spot on.
