Holy ****, bad news indeed.
RIP Scott Parkers father.
Deserves its own thread I think.

Geez, shows you what a character Scotty is, most players would probably take a month off for losing their dad...

RIP

Tottenham were absolutely brilliant, especially in that opening 10.

I thought we did very well to stay in the game, grew into it, and the defensive organisation and endeavor were commendable.

Bridge, Upson, Da Costa, Jacobsen and especially Green. great performances.

Defoe missed a couple of chances that he would score 99/100. But to be fair Carlton fluffed his two massive chances. But played well so you, can't really fault him so much.

Overall - very pleased. Now... let's take Man United!

Mr Pav has a habit of looking lively against us (when he plays) so from that point of view I wasn't too unhappy to see him benched.

Did he have a row with Redknapp or something? Seems to have been criminally underused (27 sub PL appearances out of 66 in all?)

He "Defoe" missed a trick by leaving out the Russian...always scores against us.

It's just a case of Redknapp doing what he always does, trying to alienate somebody so they want to leave except Pav doesn't seem to want to leave London, his big wages and playing for a decent club. Birmingham tried buying him a while ago but it fell through.

I reckon Pav is Tottenhams best striker and have done for a while. Seems weird that he rarely gets a chance

For the statistically minded, BBC shows that we had 11 attempts on goal - one of the highest for an away team all weekend.

Considering how much possession they had and how much they are creaming themselves about Dawson and Sandro - we didn't seem to find it that hard to get through them and force Gomes to earn his corn. He had to make just as many full stretch saves as Green.

A very accomplished away performance.

Gomez made an outstanding save from Ba. I was at the opposite end of the ground and it looked in all the way

Very underrated save that was, i also thought Noble, Yes Noble had attempted an over head kick.

It was a cracking save, it was bending away from him but it was a decent height to save. A few inches lower and I doubt he would have got down to it.

No idea what it is but he certainly has something against him, I think it's probably to do with the fact he still can't speak too much English and so can't me all matey with Redknapp in the same way Defoe and Crouch can. Redknapp always seems to dig him out in the press a bit too, safe in the knowledge he probably can't understand a word of it which I find rather unnecessary.

I said in January when you were linked with Pav you would in my opinion be getting our best striker and nothing has changed my mind on that, not that you need him now!

We see the best of Pav. on highlights and there are fine examples of him turning and shooting, but he can also go a whole game without having a good touch.

There are no words or superlatives to describe how beautiful it would have been if that had gone in.

Mark Noble, more Cockney than your mother, scoring the winner via a bicycle kick against the Spuds and ensuring the double over them this season.

But alas, it wasn't so. Cracking effort, even if he should have left it for Cole to smash in.
