...............We're not ****ed yet, but we're not far off it, because we haven't got 7 matches left, we have 4. We can write off getting anything next weekend at Bolton, a match I am dreading and at Chelski and Man City too. I am only hoping our goals difference doesn't become too great after those matches, as I think that may yet be a very significant factor too. All this means we just have to get maximum points (9) from our 3 remaining home games and personally, I can see us slipping up in at least one of these, most probably Villa. This means we willl have to beat Wigan away. One point there will definately be two dropped not one gained, so let nobody kid themselves that it will be, irrespective of how other teams do on that day. You can, however, be certain that on that day at least a couple of the our relegaion threatened rivals will win.

Bring in Sears and Kean for Cole and O'neill and we should get something at Bolton..The defence seems pretty solid and the team wont be aware of these "hoodoo" statistics. No goals conceded from loads of corners and crosses yesterday and Da Costa seems to be getting up to everything.

some of the posts on here a ****ing comical. We got beat by Man Utd FFS, they will come from two goals down to beat better teams than us too.

Vidic should have been sent off, Ronney should still be serving a ten match ban for being a gorilla in football boots but they were the better side and we buckled under the continuous pressure. This is West Ham, its nothing new and part of why we love them.

Thought Upson was very poor second half when we needed a towering display but then he is a bottle job.

I thought Fergie's comment that at 2.0 down, the next goal was the winner was spot on. Arrogant as ****, but spot on. He'd clearly done his research on our inability to close games out.

So unfair!... Deflected pass went between his legs for the fourth goal. How much bigger do his gonads have to be to stop that happening.?

They were all so well disciplined in not fouling in dangerous areas aginst that talented team.

Unusually, because they were against top opposition, the midfield and attack were unable to stop the sustained pressure.

as arry redknapp said yesterday any team can get a result at any club this season and there is no way you can discount the possibility of a win or draw at either Bolton, Chelsea or man city, there's points up for grabs in all those games!

Stay calm guys and girls will get 5 points out of the next 4 games and then beat Blackburn and be on 40 and that'll be nigh on enough!

Agreed, he was much worse First Half & his decision making then was reminiscent of stuff i've seen at Under 11 Level..

I think everyone is being very harsh on the team...in my eyes the ref gave the the 2 major reasons why they won the game.

Vidic should have gone and it shouldn't have been a free kick for their first goal.

The ref gives the right decision on either of these...and its a totally different result.

Yet again we are done bu incompetence that we are supposed to respect.

How about the FA respecting the fans who have paid top dollar to witness these useless muppets.

Of course, Man U hit form and they will win the Premiership, but if anyone thinks conceding four goals in the second- half is acceptable, against any opposition, they should watch tiddlywinks; I'm sorry, but Grant has got form in this regard, (see Birmingham, various), and a more astute manager would have won us at least a point.
Luckily, Blackpool losing today makes them favourites for the drop, together with Wolves.
We've spent enough money in the market, more than anyone else around us, to stay up, and I wouldn't regard any excuses, including referees, acceptable if we don't.

A referee from London would be a nice change, only problem is, there isn't one.

I intitially thought Noble got the Ball clearly with regards to the Free Kick but when you see it again, he didn't get any of it all Mate to be honest..

The Vidic thing however was ridiculous.. :thdn:

Agreed ! Would have liked Sears to start this one but I think AG was counting on O'Neill's experience.

As a side note - I'd love to know what he's done wrong, young Freddie cos he was doing ok..

We played crap and deserved to lose. But most of the blame for throwing away a 2 - 0 gift falls to Grant.

Pinky, I won't blame you if it doesn't happen. I thought it was a ballsy call, I would have gone with a guarantee in the Sunderland game, providing we are already safe. A win at Bolton would be nice, but if it doesn't happen, we can still survive. The church door is still open!

about 12 years ago mun u done us 4-2 at home, great game, yesterday was not as good, but i cant see any other team doing that to us in the second half with us being 2-0 up, so i still feel we have nothing to worry about.
the pen against us though was unbelievable, the lino was pointing for a corner before the ref blew and gave a pen. if refs were consistant there would be pens in every game after that decision.
i noticed the man u fans stopped singing fergie is right all refs are ***** after that decision.
