or since we got done over by diabolical refereeing in the Stoke Cup match? Maybe Lady Luck got left in Lisbon...

The difference today was moments.
Dacosta - as half hearted an attempt an interception for the first goal as I have ever seen. He really is a useless **** except against long balls.
Keane - should've buried it.
Good performance overall.
Particular kodus to just about everyone except Dacosta, Cole's touch left a lot to be desired....

What was the story on Upson ? Right as rain in the week, can't get a start, Da Costa on crutches on Wednesday plays the full 90 ??

MDC is a typically one dimensional player..... symptomatic of the Nani/Zola reign
Does one thing well - everything else is ****

Probably fancies his chances of signing for Chelsea in the summer so didn't want to play himself out of the move.

Totally agree with Bubbles.
Da Costa and Cole a side, we were decent today.
Keane should play every game from now on.

Was forced to watch that in my home town - a Chelski stronghold, which was actually great fun for the first hour or so. Thought we played well considering our lowly position. It was a pirate Italian feed and they kept screaming "West 'Am, Belllissimo!!" whiich cheered me up more.
Come on, admit it,if you are bottom you probably are the worst in the division by definition.

All season I've been an optimist against the odds... till the last ten today. Now it's hard.

Match stats - Chelsea first:
Shots: 17-13
On target: 10-6
Off target: 7-7
Corners 5-7
Possession: 68%-32%
Doesn't look much like a 3-0 until that final stat.

I'm going to lay off Grant after that one.
The formation actually worked for once, we stymied Chelsea for long long periods. Their first two goals actually came against the run of play when we were creating clear goalscoring opportunities.
We took a while to settle but got through a difficult start without conceding. They should have scored in the first three minutes but after that Green went pretty much untested until the goal. We were disciplined, hard working and created plenty of chances. Say what you want about Sears or Cole or Spector but they all work their socks off. Im pleased with the performance and although the scoreline suggests otherwise, Grant got it right today and got it unlucky. I hate it when Ba is forced to play down the left but he actually looked comfortable out there today. Still want to see him up top with Cole battering teams into submission.
Also Spector > O'Neill.

Hawkins
Playing Ba up top with Cole would mean us playing a 4-4-2 ??
Wonder why Gold nevers mentions being born at 4-4-2 Green Street any more ??

Spector wasn't playing wide right. Sears had a good game.

Apart from being bottom with 4 games to go I was strangely pleased at the end of the game.
All we ask is for players to work hard and put up a fight (at the bare minimum) and they did that and on another day we might of nicked something.

The bloke doing the possession stats must have buggered off when it started raining like half the Chelsea fans.
