It goes without saying that I wish West Ham the best of luck up at Eastlands.

-------------------------------Green
Jac-------------------Two fit CB:s------------Gabbs
Barrera-------------Hitz------------Parker-------Collison
--------------------Keane---------Cole-------------------

Subs: Boffin, 1 fit defender, Obinna, Sears, Spector, Piq, Ba

Play Specs if Parkers out, play LBM if it´s too soon for Collison.
Anyone knows who are available out of Upson, Reid, Tomkins and Da costa? All been semi- injured in the past weeks.

A point is there for the taking, as they did n´t impress me vs. Blackburn, that´s why it´s worth the gamble with players like Collison and Parker. As for Barrerra, if a player like him have his day he could offer something different, I say gamble with him as we´ve got nothing to lose.

Why would anybody LBM anywhere near the first team ? Geezer hasn't played in God knows how long and when he last did, he was yards off the pace. Not even Avram would be so daft as put him in. He's played his last match for us

the reason to include LBM is he will put himself about, and when you are a citeh player that has a cup final and his holidays coming up the last thing you need is a prat who through mis timing might just catch you................. i say get um jumping for the first half ;

-------------------------------Green
Jac-------------------Tomkins Upson------------Gabbs
-------------Hitz------------Parker-------LBM
Keane
--------------------BA---------Cole-------------------

Subs: Boffin, 1 fit defender, Sears Obinna, Sears, Spector, Piq, Collinson

10 mins in, if all square or trailing then remove LBM and bring in either collinson, sears or Obinna

Having seen them struggle past Blackburn earlier this week I think we can get something here. We can nick a point if we stay disciplined early and hit them with a sucker punch late on. We've got the likes of Obinna and Keane to come off the bench so perhaps go 4-5-1 early and then expand a bit if we're getting somewhere?

It wouldn't. Ba isn't a target man and wont hold the ball up. Kovac cant defend and Silva and Toure will have a field day against him. Gabbs, Hitz and LBM on the left is far too defensive and we MUST go there looking to get something! It's possible!

I know Kovac is the last remaining CM after Specs and Hitz but this is one time where i dont want Avram to go for the easy option of putting the right player in the right position. Kovac must not play!
Althought LBM has always been an attacker i think his defensive play has been pretty good this year and it's worth sticking him more infield and maybe man-mark one of City's attackers.
Ba isn't a winger by any stretch of the imagination but he was good playing from the left on Saturday, drifting infield and drilling in a few shots. He played in all positions of a front 3 at Hoffenheim so he's not new to playing wide.

.........................................Green.........................................

....Jac..................Da Costa.............Upson..............Gabbidon

Because of injuries to Reid, O'Neil, Parker, Noble, Dyer, Tomkins and Piq, they've been using very few first teamers of late. I don't expect any first teamers to start aside from Faubert, Boffin, Collison and Ilunga. So it might not give any clue.

I just hope Collison comes through ok

West Ham United reserves: Boffin, Driver, Eyjolfsson, McNaughton, Potts, Abdulla, Moncur, Collison, Edgar, Faubert, Tombides
Subs: Larkins, Sanchez, Wearen, Lletget, Hall

Pretty expected I'd say.

Yes, I think with Jack and George playing tonight they won't be featuring on Sunday .

No Sears tonight means he is a defo starter Sunday .

Numerous reports today suggest that if Collison comes through unscathed today, hell play some part on Sunday. We'll find out if he gets subbed early.
