Man City 2 West Ham Utd 1 (01/05/11)
After today's performance I am optimistic for this one.
I've never started one of these before so this guarantees us a win!!
I'd lone up 4-4-2
-------green-----
Jac upson gabs bridge
Sears specs Parker hitz
--------Ba keane------
My only concern being hitz's lack of pace on the left. Keen and Ba will guarantee us a goal in this game and with tevez out city don't look anywhere near as smart going forward.
COYI!!

Re: Man City vs West Ham
I wouldn't say I was overly optimistic but if we play like we did today, we could if this time we take our chances get something from this game.

Oh ***** I didn't think of that. Gabbidon left-back. Im enjoying watching him in the swansong of his West Ham career actually.bubbles1966 wrote:

should start with o'neil, I don't think we should get optimistic with this one, we were lucky chelsea didn't make us pay for our awful start to the game and manchester city do start off lively

Is that the O'neil that's been ruled out for the rest of the season?wengers rent boy wrote:should start with o'neil, I don't think we should get optimistic with this one, we were lucky chelsea didn't make us pay for our awful start to the game and manchester city do start off lively

Poor performance today, had chances, didn't execute. Citeh a worse team but much better players than Chelski: even without Tevez would punish us. No chance without Scottie.

Re: Man City vs West Ham
I expect us to get at least a point if we can cover Bridge's absence acceptably.
Spurs fans will want us to. One said that to me in the pub.... he looked like a bit of a fat weirdo with a ****ing obsession....as you'd expect....

Maybe he meant Martin.

Re: Man City vs West Ham
I have the weirdest feeling that the injuries will work out for the best.
4-3-3 with Parker - Spector - Hitz in the middle is going to be energetic and aggressive with a good playmaker.
Sears - Ba - Cole - they'll get goals if we supply enough.
1-0 West Ham (sadly helping Spurs in the process). Hitz to score the winner.

Re: Man City vs West Ham
Bridge being out, means a center back will be put at full back yet again. The thought of Silva/Johnson/Balotelli/Tevez running at Tomkins or Upson.......
Re: Man City vs West Ham
I've seen us win one away game in 3 years - yet I have decided to make the trip for this and Wigan away.
Sorry lads.

I don't know why I go to this game every year... We always get trounced.
This year, again I am optimistic.

Re: Man City vs West Ham
4-5-1 with an ability to turn 4-4-2
---------------------------Green-----------------------------
Jacobson-------Upson-----Gabbidon---------Bridge
Sears--------Spector--Parker----Hitzelsperger------Ba
--------------------------Cole-------------------------------------
Boffin,Tomkins,Da Costa,Kovac/Noble,Boa Morte,Keane,Piquionne/Obinna
Man City are not as organised or as classy as Chelsea. They are also prone to lapses in concentration which Chelsea are not accustomed to.
Im not optimistic, but I think we can expect better things then we expected prior to the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Re: Man City vs West Ham
Since i've started my new job, i've worked during two games. Those two games have yielded 2 great draws, away at Spurs and away at Everton. I'm superstitiously optimistic
..........................Green....................
Jacobsen...Da Costa...Upson....Gabbs
...........................Parker....................
Sears.........Specs..............Hitz.........
............................................Ba........
..............................Cole....................
Subs: Boffin, Tomkins, Collison, Boa, Keane, Piq, Obinna
Same sort of way we lined up today. With Gabbs being more of a CB, he wont get forward as much as Bridge so i think we can afford to keep Ba on the left for this one. Upson is only in through default, i detest him but we need a left-footed CB to help out Gabbidon, throw Tomkins in there and it's far too inbalanced. If we play like we did today, we have every chance. Without Tevez, City lose alot but we must be cautious of Silva and Toure, two wonderfully gifted players. Hopefully the other results go our way next week aswell, no team around us are looking like they're capable of picking up wins. Our safety is in our hands so hopefully we see another spirited performance. COYI
