Does anyone know how long bridge is out for?

2-0 loss i fancy.
probably both in first half and then Citeh just play out time.
Makes a bit of a mockery of the 'form team going into the past stage of the season' b*llocks doesnt it.
In truth the main thing is NOT to take a ****ing tonking OR new injuries.

Think we should just go in with the mentality of we will score more goals than you a bit like blackpool earlier in the season, where if they went a goal behind they would take a chance of going two behind to get an equaliser by pushing forward instead of sitting back and waiting for a break, as we have nothin to lose and everything to gain so i say play 3 up front, and have demba ba with his strength up against lescott who is thier weak link in my opinion. I would also have keano playin off of carlton with his pace he would run rings around lescott and kompany, defensively we have to cut the supply, of david silva and adam johnson if he plays, also got to wind up balotelli a early booking will have him on the ropes and frustrated, and can affect the rest of his teamates.
If we get everything right this could be a massive win

Specs and Parker need to be disciplined to play this system and stay behind play, Hitz needs his A game looking to play in Sears and Obinna to use their pace, Sears to track back when they are in possesion, Obinna to stay higher up the pitch to act as the out ball.
Sears & Ba need to run themselves into the ground and need to come off after 70mins, Cole and Piq/Keane to to replace for last 20.

--------------------------------Green------------------------------------
Lars-------------Da Costa---------Gabbs----------------Upson
......................Specs.................Parker(if fit, LBM if not)
.....................................Hitz........................................
Sears..........................................................Obinna
.....................................Ba

Probably still get smashed!

Because we need players who play with a bit of heart and don't mind putting a shift in.

A player like Obinna is not suited to playing the top sides away from home and LBM is the only other natural left sided player we have, except hitz who is a cm and with both Noble and Parker out we will need him in there.

Lawro's Prediction for Manchester City v West Ham United (Sunday, 16:10)

When Thomas Hitzlsperger came into the team, West Ham seemed to really pick up and score goals from all angles, but they appear to have cracked now.

It's not something you can put your finger on - is it down to man-management, the tactics or what?

I don't know, but something is fundamentally wrong, and with the players they've got, they should do much better.

As for City, they've really got the bit between their teeth, and they'll already know how their closest rivals Tottenham have done on Saturday, which will help them.

Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 West Ham United

Lawro's predictions for the season would put Manchester City in 4th place on 75 points and West Ham United in 15 place on 34 points.

In fact, City go into the match in 4th place on 59 points while West Ham are in 20th place on 32 points.

Here are all of Lawro's predictions for the 2010-11 season, together with how the Premier League table would look like if he was correct...

It's just a thought. But assuming Noble and Parker are out, how about either Gabbidon or Tomkins as defensive midfield?

So it could be like this:

Jacobson Da Costa Upson Gabbidon

Tomkins

Sears Spector Hitz Ba

Cole

By all means put LBM in for Ba, but I like the idea of a totally defensive midfielder to shield the back four - that also allows Ba and Sears to break forward to support Cole on the break. It also means you are not screwed if either Spector or Hitz get forward to have a shot. I think it has to be Gabbs or Tomkins as DM because Spector doesn't play there well, LBM would be right but can't pass/not disciplined.

Put out the most workman like team and get the midfield working overtime to protect our shaky defence simples! Sears for definite as he is the only source of pace we have to play counter attack football .

You're off to Stamford Bridge, aren't you? Starting my Saturday night out early so I can watch it with a Pint.

Should be a good weekend.

It's the only good thing i'll be able to take out of the weekend them losing, you'll be 7 Points clear of them by Sunday night, just thing about that..

I'll also take Lawro's 2-0 Home win right now so that GD don't screw us completely..

Admittedly it was earlier in the season when Citeh were still settling in but Arsenal and Everton has both beaten them at home - and Blackburn and Birmingham both got draws. Fulham also got a draw there in February. It's not impossible. They tend to go through periods in a game where they slow down. If we work hard and disrupt their play we can keep the score down. And just hope that Sears or Ba nick something. Heart says 1-1. Head says 2-0 to them, goals either side of half-time...

I seem to remember him doing well in our last great escape or have you forgot that?

If you think you need players who duck out of 50-50z and don't track their runners when playing away against a top 6 team, well that's up to you.

You can have all the skill in the world but if you have no heart your worthless.

if you listen to all these so called football experts we are going to get battered .... look Man city are no Barcelona , Fulham should have beaten them at eastlands and also Wigan were unlucky there...knocked out of europa league by a dodgy greek team as well..... We have played well away from home (Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton ) so lets not be so ****ing pesimistic .....A bit of hard graft and belief by the team will get us something ....come on you irons...
