I didn't need to puncture it. Webs are, by design, full of holes.Aceface wrote: Don't puncture my web of bulls***, it's all I've got left

I don't think I've ever been less confident about a game.
Watching Yaya Toure rip us apart at Home was a little bit scary.
Away, we are in awful form, there doing well.
Fair play to the brave lot going up there, great fans.

Re: Man City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Right after today's games it's time for the players to give the fans something back and prove they give a dam. A win would be a dream and would move us out of the bottom 3, a point who knows but even a point could be crucial at this stage COYI

Parker was at the Bridge watching the Chelsea/Spurs game this evening. Does that mean he hasn't travelled/isn't playing?
Re: Man City vs West Ham Utd: match thread
Gonna be hard watching this coz in the home fixture they did not even get out if 1st gear and ripped us apart, we could get smashed of the park tomorrow,I'd love to have some faith but it's been taken away in the last few months, cricket score on the cards!

Lars----Tomkins----Upson----Gabbs
Sears-----Parker(specs)--Hitz---Boa
------------Keane
--------------------------Ba
Bit harsh on Da Costa but tomkins & upson have a decent record i think?
Sears deserves his place. if we get a chance we want it to drop to Ba or Keane (i know he missed that one last week)
can't trust cole to put one of our few chances away.
Collison to come on and score the late winner

That's the team I would go for, except Parker really won't be playing. Have to pray that Specs wants to have a wonder game!!
Not very optimistic, but we need points, have to keep the faith until we are gone!

This is where we need a West Ham of old performance.
The team that excelled in the big games, and could pull a rabbit out of the hat against the top 4 (except Anfield!) and usually got about 1/6 of its points off of the big teams. We havn't seen it for a while. The team that won at the Emirates and Old Trafford. If there was ever a time for that sort of performance it's right here, right now.

There's only one player we have who could mark Toure effectively, and that's Sears, who matches his pace.
But . . . am I right in saying that Toure is out of the squad for the match?
Anyways, IMHO, we've got to go with basically the same line-up and tactics as last week, injuries excepted. But I really hope that they keep Specs in midfield instead of the back four.
