Doesn't look like Collison will start, he played the full 90 today. Sears is definitely starting though.

Nah, wont start but it looks like he didn't pick up an injury so hopefully he gets on the bench over Kovac.

Apparently, from someone at the game, Collison had his right leg strapped up and said he wouldn't be playing at the weekend. Ahmed Abdullah has also told me, on Twitter, that Collison looked really good, ready for a start and is he plays like he did tonight he'll keep us up.

If we lose 4-0 he will be certainly pissed with you, but your right at the same if we win 1,2,3,4 nil then he would be more disappointed by the fact he didn't go than if we lost. In my opinion i think we are going to get a right ****ing about 6-0 i reckon

--------------------------------Green------------------------------------
Lars-------------Da Costa---------Gabbs----------------Upson
---------------------------------Parker-----------------------------------
-------------------Spector-----------------Hitz-------------------------
Sears----------------------------------------------------------Collison
--------------------------------Demba Ba-------------------------------
If Parker is not fit: Hitz Holding & Collison into the 3man midfield with Damba coming out left with Cole going up top. If Collison is not ready then park the bus with Gabbs sitting in front of the back for & bring Tomkins in with Hitz moving up or sitting next to Gabbs.
I would just also say if Noble was fit with Parker & Hitz being fit I still would not start him in front of Spector. I'm not saying Spector is a better player but I think what he brings to the team is needed more & that's drive & pace that can go box to box, Noble plays like Hitz & he is the better out the two.

I always thought Da Costa would make a good DM... He wins lots of headers, brings the ball out of defence well and can pass.
Wouldnt be so fatal when he gets his legs in a tangle either if we had another line of defence behind him.

I've used the argument both ways and the only games ive "missed" in the sense that I made a call on both occasions not to go were the CC cup win at Sunderland and the battering we took at the barcodes....so we're due a "win". I feel Ive done the miles this year but there's this nagging voice inside of my head... the alternative is that I take up the offer of a corporate ticket to watch arsenal v man u, then retire to the 12 pins with said pals and then watch us rack up a memorable win, and be home in time for a blow job off the missus* * some of the above maybe somewhat fancifull

We're down to bare bones in the most crucial area of modern football - which is midfield, though it would seem that nobody has told Avram this yet. The suicide (relegation) line up for us to put out would be the one where Grant makes up for the abscences of Parker/Noble/O'Neill by throwing lots of strikers into the game. That gives Man City 80% possession of the ball and an easy win
I'd be inclined to pick a defensive line up
Green Lars-----Upson----Gabbidon-----Bridge ------Da Costa---Kovac Specs----------Hitz------------LBM ----------------Cole
A nil nil would be a major achievement in our present circumstances
Of course, I doubt Grant's line up will be in any way similar to this, because I am seriously convinced that he has totally lost the plot. I expect to see him playing his usual tactics of getting Piq, Keane, Obinna, Ba all on the pitch at the same time. The tactic that will ensure our relegation

KOVAC AND DA COSTA HOLDING!??! ARE YOU MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAd!?
here we go...
-Green--
Lars-------------Da Costa---------Upson----------------Gabbs
Sears ---Spector-----------------Hitz---------------Obinna/LBM
Keane
-Demba Ba--
Cant afford to let them exploit the gap in front of our full backs which we always end up with ...keane in the hole, Obinna to stretch then Ba two cracking goals. Bish Bosh...

Ok so I've been away for a couple of weeks and come back to find that Noble & Parker are out, Upson apparently has a chest infection (see http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php) and Bridge can't play. But that doesn't explain why everyone wants to pick Sears over Dyer! Have I missed something? Is he injured or back out on loan again? Surely a midfield of Dyer, Spector, Hitzlesperger, Obinna, LBM is stronger than one with Sears? We need creativity and experience for this run in, especially against a team like City. Something like this: All you LBM haters out there - he will run his legs off and without Parker we need this kind of player on the pitch.

This ****'s me off how how we have a lack of wingers and fullbacks. Dyer and Obinna on the wings will do **** all and certainly won't be tracking back and we will get raped. With our players 4-5-1 don't work.

Citeh have at their disposal, Johnson, Milner, SWP and sure Mancini will have looked at the Villa and Manure tapes in particular and seen how vulnerable we can be on the flanks. Would go 4-1-4-1 formation. Definitely need somebody in front of the back four to track left-right and help out. Could be a long day. Specs and Green will start but have no idea as to who else plays and where...... Perhaps take Avrams approach and just put all the fit players names in a hat and................

I have been carefully considering this match and I have decided we will put up next to no fight.
There is no loyalty in football any more, the players are all concentrating on their next prem club it is sad to say.
So, I say play all the players that are ****ed and will have to play in the Championship next year! Then you will see some blood and sweat.
