Not one for the faint hearted. and in view of that a nailed on Draw. That will prolong the agoiny longer and Wigan becomes the 'must-win' game.
For Rovers its simple, avoid defeat and they are virtually ceratin to stay up. So anyone expoecting them to roll over, think again.

I think really we have to win for belief (both our and the other teams in it with us), anything less than 3 points leaves us needing an improbable pair of results.

Green
Jacobsen
Da Costa
Tomkins
Bridge
LBM
Hitzelsperger
Parker
Sears
Keane
Ba
- Vital that Keane and Ba start up front together, as they actually look like they can score a goal between them.
- LBM and Sears give us a natural shape in a 442 formation with Keane dropping in centrally.
- Continue with Da Costa and Tomkins at the back - No Upson even if he's fit. We look better without him.

Blackburn are fighting for their points, we aren't.
West Ham 2 - 3 Blackburn Rovers.

We always beat Blackburn, but I'm not confident we will beat them this year. This team is so gutless, I think they are shot to pieces. Led by a man who know's he out at the season's end, he can't inspire them and it seems clear to me, G S and B have now lost it with him too. We will hear the normal bravado from the players in the lead up to the match, but what a shame they can't replicate that out there on the pitch. 1-2

You've not been confident all season and are usually one of the first people to slate the team when we lose.
Meh.
Re: West Ham United v Blackburn: Match Thread
anyone else actually looking forward to this? Of course, the fear of impending doom could sour the occasion but we should be used to all of this by now and Saturday could be a great emotional release... The one redeeming feature of a good old fashion relegation battle is the drama and potential exhilaration of a last minute escape.
I just pray we start well, drive at them and smash into a couple of challenges so the crowd don't just get nervous and quiet.
I still live in hope and cant wait for Saturday! COYI's

So will I, because at least our relegation will be confirmed and Grant will be gone. Happy days ahead!Bobby Orangeboom wrote:

God you sound like a right laugh. Where do you drink pre-match? Can we hang out?simon hammer wrote:So will I, because at least our relegation will be confirmed and Grant will be gone. Happy days ahead!

Expect the ground to be rocking for this one. Also expecting this to be the most difficult of our last 3 games. Remember the 0-0 last year we struggled to break them down and they may have even nicked it. Their lack of forwards helps, as does our excess we hopefully enough to bag at least a couple and make changes from the bench if need be it the first 11 haven't done the job already. Tempted to bring back Piquionne for some reason, just think he will be hungry after being left out, then bring on Cole and Keane/Obinna.
